About Gillian
Gillian Andrew is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Fun In The Sun Weddings, an award-winning photography company in Riviera Maya, Mexico that specializes in capturing destination weddings, proposals, vow renewals, and family vacations.
As a destination wedding expert, Gillian advises on wedding planning, orchestrates surprise engagements and even officiates in vow renewals. She manages the company’s marketing and social media teams, and drives sales.
Gillian is married to her business partner, the company’s lead photographer, and their own destination wedding story is nothing short of disastrous, leaving them without frame-worthy photos of their Big Day. Her intention is to help others avoid the same pitfalls, and leave them with amazing memories to cherish. She blogs regularly, sharing her wealth of professional tips and personal advice with the world.
Recognizing that love is an endless adventure, her entrepreneurial spirit has led to the creation of Happy Married Chicks. This passion project allows her to offer ongoing support to women within their relationships, and with themselves so that they can squeeze more happiness out of everyday life.
Gillian lives in Playa del Carmen, Mexico with her husband and their son. She has always had an adventurous spirit, traveling to 30 countries before she turned 30 years old. Her wanderlust is thankfully shared by her husband. They backpacked extensively during the first dozen years of their relationship, before choosing Mexico as a home to raise their son and build their business. She is living the life of a Happy Married Chick!
