This Christmas season, we look at the lives of four women mentioned in genealogy of Jesus: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba. While these stories might not be fit for the Hallmark Channel, but they do deal with the realities of life that hit close to home.

Who is God? In Exodus 34, God reveals his character to Moses and to us. Acts 10:1-33 records a fascinating story about the Apostle Peter, a man considered one of Jesus' closest friends and a pillar of the new testament church. Though Peter had an extradorinaiy leadership role in the early church, he still allowed his past religious and cultural baggage to cloud his vision of God's grand purposed for the salvation of the nations. Peter was a man out of step with the gospel. Yet though he is often complicated and full of inconsistencies, he is a man we can relate with.
