The story of Christmas begins not with Mary and Joseph, shepherds and angles, but instead with the providence of God working through a long line of broken, sinful people. This Christmas season, we look at the lives of four women mentioned in genealogy of Jesus: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba. While these stories might not be fit for the Hallmark Channel, but they do deal with the realities of life that hit close to home.
In this first sermon by Pastor Cean Williard, we examine the story of Judah and Tamar and see that even in spite of the sins of man, we can and must find our hope in God, for he is faithful to fulfill his promise and bring about our salvation.
