Who is God? How would you describe Him to someone who does not know Him? Would you start with His name or maybe His character traits, and from what source of knowledge would you draw these descriptions? Where do we find these truths in the Bible? Do we, and can we, truly know Him? These are the questions of this sermon series by Pastor Seth Winterhalter based on Exodus 3, 33, and 34.
In this sermon based on Exodus 3:7-12 we see a God who is near, even in the midst of suffering. God didn't bring evil or sin into the world, and yet He weaves its reality into the grand tapestry of the human story to reveal He is loving, caring, saving, redeeming, and restoring. What do we say in the midst of suffering? "You can hurt this body, you can hurt this mind, you can hurt this heart, but you'll never hurt my soul for it has been saved and redeemed by Jesus Christ."
