    • 563: Everyday is Like 2020

      Foreplay

Welcome to a fresh installment of Hardly Focused, starring Mike Tarara and Jack Gill! Mike is the proud recipient of an additional tax refund, thanks to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Inexplicably receiving money in the mail reminds Jack of Peter Popoff’s Miracle Spring Water, the users of which claim to receive vast fortunes upon using/consuming said water.

      Voldemort 2024

Well, it’s actually happening – Donald Trump is running for President in 2024. Mike would rather Trump run over Florida governor Ron DeSantis, finding DeSantis to be more calculated and malicious versus Trump. Jack and Mike also discuss the outcome of the Arizona governor’s race, as well as the Russian missile attack on Poland.

      Morrissey Sucks

In this segment, Mike and Jack discuss music, music, and more music. Included in the chat:

      • Taylor Swift crashed Ticketmaster, with her tour tickets selling for upwards of $12,000
      • Paramore literally says “fuck it” and adds Misery Business back into their setlist
      • Jack’s favorite musician, Stephen Patrick Morrissey, quits his own concert 30 minutes into it
      • Mike’s relative went to Woodstock ’99
      • Foreigner announces a 2023 farewell tour

        • 562: Peaches' Modern Life

          Foreplay

It’s an Acc-less edition of The Acc and Jack Show, with Zach Ward and Jack Gill manning the bridge. Zach and Jack discuss Woodstock ’99, neither of whom were old enough to enjoy it themselves. Zach also has mad respect for singer Mike Patton, and great disdain for Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.

          Twitter Takeover, the Break’s Over

In this segment, Jack talks with the polyamorous Zach about Sister Wives on TLC. Jack pokes fun at the melodramatic outbursts of the show’s male lead. Somehow this show has existed over the course of several years.

Zach and Jack also discuss Twitter under it’s new dictatorship of one Elon Musk. Among the things Musk is combating with his new company include working from home, and parody verified accounts. Jack thinks it’s all part of Musk’s plan to fully destroy Twitter from the inside out.

          Amputate, Not Ampu-hate

Zach educates Jack at the beginning of this segment on how to properly clean a litter box. Having lived with cats for well over a year at this point, Jack is convinced he’s scooping cat shit wrong. Owning several felines himself, Zach knows a thing or two about the number two.

Elsewhere, Jack and Zach discuss the tale of a nurse from Wisconsin who amputated an elderly man’s frostbitten foot without consent. As a result, she faces charges of elder abuse. Knowing she isn’t qualified and thus makes her place of work liable for the damages, Jack thinks she’s in the right – and that it’s also really funny.
