Pastor Jeff reminds you today of the story of the Good Samaritan, someone who didn’t just stop to help someone in need, but selflessly sacrificed to ensure they got back on their feet. God calls you to be a merciful person, to remember the times when you were in need of help. Allow yourself to be the vessel of God’s mercy for someone else.

There’s a classic saying that we tell children that says, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”. There is some Biblical truth to that statement because we see in the Beatitudes that we are called to be meek. In today’s message, Pastor Jeff teaches that when we are quick to react against an offense, it does two things: it makes us always be on the defensive, but it also shows our enemies where we are weak. And in this world, we must be strong and steadfast in our faith.
If you’ve ever worn prescription glasses in your life, there’s a moment where you first put them on and begin to see everything much more clearly than you used to! Well, Pastor Jeff teaches you today that when the Holy Spirit comes into your life, He begins to reveal to you how much you need God’s presence to get through life. You will begin to see how poor you are without God. If you learn to completely rely on God to provide for your needs, your faith and relationship with Him will grow stronger.
Have you ever wondered why it is so hard for rival nations to find lasting peace? It’s because they are looking for something they can’t give each other. Humanity is too volatile, there is always someone looking to take from one another, so lasting peace is very difficult to maintain. However, Pastor Jeff reminds you today that true peace is only found in Christ. It’s the kind of peace that only comes when you have been washed clean, absolved of the burden of sin that weighed you down so much.
Unfortunately, humanity bears a debt of sin that we cannot repay on our own. We are all guilty of turning our backs on God and choosing our own ways over His. But that doesn’t mean we are without hope, Pastor Jeff reminds us today that we have a path to redemption and restoration through Jesus Christ. The joy that we find in the Christmas season comes from the fact that Jesus’ birth made a way for us to find salvation, a way for us to be free of the burden of sin that we could not carry on our own.
Sometimes when you get sick, it can feel like forever since you last felt well, and it can begin to feel like you’ll never be well again. But then, one day you’ll notice that you don’t have symptoms anymore! The relief of that feeling is what you get when the joy of the Lord enters your life. Pastor Jeff reminds you today that when you are restored to God’s presence, some of the spiritual blocks that were getting in your way just start to disappear. That relief is the most joyous thing to experience.
In the quest to discover the meaning of life, it can be overwhelming to choose what to believe. Oftentimes, we see religion as a list of rules and old rituals. In today’s message, Pastor Jeff wants you to know that beyond rituals or doctrines, it’s a personal connection with Jesus that brings depth and purpose to your life. Stop chasing the lies of this world and believe in something that will never fail you—Jesus. Rising above religious affiliations, the blood of Jesus is the only thing that matters.
