The words panic, fear, uncertainty, and confusion have made it into news headlines a lot lately as we hear about coronavirus, tornadoes, and a falling stock market. Barb Beard shares about her experiences as she lived in Taiwan as a missionary. "Just weeks before we moved to Taiwan, our city was plagued with a dengue fever outbreak, and an earthquake that killed 143 people. Fear was overcoming me as we tried to deal with a constant sense of confusion from living in a foreign country. But God was faithful to show me how to be okay with being out of my comfort zone, and how to keep my heart from being ruled by fear. In His Word God has given us great promises to combat fear."

We look at the story of the Tower of Babel and how it relates to our lives, our church, and what God is challenging us to do.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
