G’day and welcome back to the 6th episode of Harro’s Heroes. This week I was lucky enough to be joined by my favourite player of all time and one of the biggest reasons I support the Lions today, Jason Akermanis. Aker and I sat down and discussed his time at the lions, where he went on to become one of the most decorated players in the club’s history, winning 3 premierships, a Brownlow, multiple best and fairest, and was also leading goal kicker. He also went into depth about the controversy that followed him throughout his career both on the field for the lions and doggies, but also off field. Later, we discuss his life post footy, where he has started up his own crypto currency and his own real estate company. This is something I never thought would happen and I’m excited for you all to listen.

This week I had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with Hawthorn captain and 2x premiership player Ben McEvoy. Ben takes us through his career playing for both St Kilda and the Hawks, where we played under two of the great coaches Ross Lyon and Alastair Clarkson. We also discuss his love for his farm and what the hawks are looking for improve on next season. Can’t wait for you’s to listen!

Shaun goes into depth about his time at the Kangas, playing in Preliminary finals, playing under 3 different coaches, and a lot of funny stories about his time off field. This week I was fortunate enough to sit down and chat with not only one of the greatest Netballers of all time but one of the greatest Australian athletes of all time, Sharelle McMahon. Sharelle takes us through her journey from the small dairy community of Bamawm, to winning gold at the Commonwealth Games. She also talks about her career playing for the Melbourne Phoenix and Vixens, where she dominated the court. Sharelle has since gone into multiple roles in not only netball since retirement, but in the AFLW and Female Cricket in Victoria. My first guest is former AFL player, Morrison Medalist and 2008 GVFL premiership player Ash Watson. One of my heroes growing up playing footy, Ash and I sit out and talk about his early footy career, to then being picked up my North Melbourne as a young 17 year old.
