Profess: What does the Bible profess to be?

Production: How was the Bible produced?

(Hebrews 1:1-2, 1 Timothy 3:15, John 17:3)

HOW WE GOT THE NEW TESTAMENT: A SIMPLE TIMELINE

  Written from 45-100 AD

 Collected & read from 100-200 AD

 Examined and compared with spurious writings from 200-300 AD

 Complete agreement obtained 300-400 AD

Preservation: How was the Bible preserved?

In a world that wants to destroy your faith, God has given you EVERYTHING YOU NEED to stand firm, defend, and be confident in His grace with these 4 things:

1. Know you have certain salvation (1:1-11)

2. Know you have God’s Word (1:12-21)

3. Know you have clear warnings (2:1-22)

4. Know you have future hope (3:1-13)

Because my faith

1. is a gracious gift from God

2. is of equal standing with everyone else’s

3. is inherited by Christ’s work alone 

4. is filled with the growing gifts of grace and peace
