After teaching the Ephesians that Jews and Gentiles are one in Christ, Paul elaborates on this mystery that brings all believers together as one body.

Paul has been explaining how we cannot save ourselves—it is a free gift of God through the finished work of Jesus.

After praying for the Ephesians to know God more through His power that raised Christ from the dead, Paul shows the believers that this same power has raised them with Christ.

Paul begins the letter to the Ephesians by praising God for the work of salvation and giving us every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Paul began his third missionary journey by returning to Ephesus, after briefly stopping there at the end of his second journey. He stayed in Ephesus ministering for almost three years, his longest stay in any city during his journeys.

Exodus 34 describes the awe-inspiring glory that was on the face of Moses after he met with God on Mount Sinai, but the Apostle Paul uses that very instance to describe the greater glory of the new covenant which impacts all believers today.

After the debacle of the golden calf, God called Moses up Mount Sinai to receive a second set of stone tablets containing the 10 Commandments. In this encounter, He revealed much about his character for them and us.

After the people rebelled and worshiped the golden calf, God told them he would not go with them to the Promised Land. As a result of their idol worship, Moses now met with God in a temporary "tent of meeting," outside of the camp.

While Moses was on the mountain getting instructions from God about the Tabernacle, the people down below were doing the opposite of worshipping the God who had saved them—and we face the same choice today that they were given.

As we close this section of instructions for building the Tabernacle, God tells Moses what the priests are to wear and how they are to be consecrated for service to the Lord.
