Hear My Prayer

Godly character can be seen in the life of a Follower of Jesus as the Holy Spirit continues his work of sanctification. The list of Godly Character traits in Psalm 15 helps us to recognize the Spirit’s work.

When you’re underwater in life, cast all your anxiety on Jesus… his shoulders are broad and he can handle it.

He will help you raise your head above the water, and then set your feet on solid ground.

When troubles come, we face a choice: flee in fear or take refuge in God. In Psalm 11, David rejects advice to run from danger, instead declaring his trust in God's sovereignty.

People seek refuge from the brokenness in our world by running to Money, Relationships, and Achievement… they all disappoint. In Psalm 7, we embrace that only “God Most High” can defend us and overcome on our behalf.

King David teaches us how to begin our days by humbly crying out to the King of Heaven for help. We are to Pray for Guidance, Justice and Blessing. The Lord is ready to Lead us, let’s follow him!

Psalm 3

King David penned this Psalm as he was fleeing from his son Absalom’s murderous hand. The conflict was real, and the emotions were raw. When we cry out to God, he hears us and he is ready to respond, deliver, and save.

Jesus followed the Miracle of Feeding the 5000 with a very difficult teaching.

He stated, I AM the Bread of Life. His follow-up was that unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood there is no life in you. Be ready to Learn!
