Welcome to Episode 11 of HTBYB! As 2020 draws to a close, the boys take a deep dive into the last year while talking about goal setting and how they  achieve their goals while providing some outlook into what 2021 may bring!

Welcome back to another episode of HTBYB! On this episode, the boys tackle a mountain... not just any mountain but the mountain of student loan debt. We are joined by a very special guest, Raj Sidhu. Raj graduated from Duquesne University in 2019 with a degree in accounting and currently works for Davis, Davis, and Associates, while focusing on becoming a CPA. Combined with Raj's background, the boys attempt to climb this mountain and share tips for people trying to pay their loans and share what avenues are available to explore... in short the boys summit up real nice for the climb. 

"It takes a village to raise a child" is a famous African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. This same sentiment can be applied to the topic of support. Social support is extremely important in pushing ourselves to achieve goals, aiding us to make difficult decisions, and pick us up when we are feeling down. With the power of support from those we care about most, we have the unique opportunity to achieve anything we wish, but without it, we may stumble beyond belief. In Episode 8, the boys decide to share their personal struggles with tough life events and how support (or lack there of) impacted each situation. Bring in the village... this episode is not one to miss!

Welcome to another episode of HTBYB! On episode 7, the boys are joined by the podcast's social media director Brianna DeJames. Bri has recently transferred colleges from Washington and Jefferson University, where she was a student-athlete, to Duquesne University. Bri joins the boys and shares her insights, emotions, and thoughts about changing environments and what the process of making this monumental change was like. Taking the leap to make changes is never easy, but as Bri demonstrates and discusses, jumping across the pond is worth it!

Adapting is a tricky subject, often bringing uncertainty and discomfort to our lives that is typically unwelcome. Through adapting though, we all have a chance for new opportunities to grow and develop. On this episode, the boys welcome special guest Brad Franjione, a math teacher currently at South Fayette High School who shares his insights on adapting to the classroom and to life outside of school. Like a chameleon, we all must change our colors a little, but don’t let it get in the way of recognizing how powerful adapting can truly be!

Have you ever walked into a bakery and are immediately overwhelmed with all the choices in front of you? Have you ever felt that way about life too? On Episode 4 of HTBYB, the boys discuss the dreaded decision of figuring out what you want to do in life and the process that it brings with it. This week on HTBYB we feature special guest: Travis Jeke. Jeke is the 2018-2019 SPHL Defenseman of the Year and enjoyed a college career at Boston College. After playing professional hockey for Fayetteville for the past few years, Travis has recently decided to retired from professional hockey. This week the boys discuss burnout, while expanding into some hockey talk surrounding Travis’ career and how burn out has played a role in his life!

Are you tired of networking? Are you tired of college advisors and professors just saying the word without any meaning or useful information? During this episode the boys talk about approaching networking in a different way, a way that could change the way you network for good. Episode 2 also features our very first guest, John DeJames. John has over 30+ years of experience in health care and management. He is the 2015 Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Preceptor of the year and the 2019 Duquesne University Alumni Achievement Award Recipient. John discusses his experiences from starting at an entry level position and working his way through upper management of three high performing companies. He also shares personal stories and advice on what professionals can do to stand out in a crowded field. Enjoy!
