Jack Frost is the heartwarming tale of a dad who dies and then comes back to life as a snowman to teach his kid a tricky hockey shot and to fix a leaky pipe in the kitchen that his wife couldn't fix because you know, she's a girl???? All that and some other stuff.

For those of us that live in California, the idea of snow and snowing is magical and exotic. But one time I went to Rhode Island in the winter and the snow had mostly melted and these big piles of dirty snow were piled up in the shady areas of parking lots and buildings and it was gross.  I'm sure any snowman made of this snow would be grey and sad.  Thankfully movie snowmen are white as the driven snow.  What is driven snow?  Snow people take other places because it is nice?  That seems pretty weird, why drive it around if it just falls from the sky.  These are the things I think about.
