This movie may just be the end of the Disaster Movie. Long a staple genre - back to movies like the Poseidon Adventure and the Airport series. Roland Emmerich brought them back with Independence Day and the Day after Tomorrow but whatever magic he had back then is so gone. This movie is weak sauce from the get go. Sad times, sad times.

Hate Watching is the show that puts genres to rest.

So Elon Musk just bought Twitter and people are losing their minds. He's gonna sell everyones data (Facebook has been doing that for years). He's gonna let hate speech run free (Facebook has been doing that for years). He's gonna let Trump back on (Trump was on Twitter for 10 years without being thrown off). Our fragile society has survived all this junk for years, we will be okay.
