The Unsolved Murder of MaryAnn Plett. One of Edmonton, Alberta’s first female real estate agents.
On the morning of Wednesday, Sept 15, 1971, 29 year old Mary Ann Plett, one of Edmonton, Alberta’s first female real estate agents left her office on Whyte Ave in Edmonton, Alberta to show an acreage just outside the city in nearby Looma, Alberta to a mysterious man only know as “James Cooper”. Mary Ann Plett was never seen alive again and the mysterious “James Cooper” was never brought to justice.

Welcome to Haunted Canada
Hello everyone my name is Nadine host and creator of Haunted Canada. A podcast dedicated to sharing Canada’s most creepiest and bone chilling ghost stories, historical hauntings, murders, mysteries, and all the strange things in between...from across Canada.
If your anything like me you love a good ghost stories...come on who doesn’t love a good ghost story. You’ve probably had your own ghostly or paranormal experience, or know someone that has...and you’ve most certainly binged watched all those ghost hunting investigation show’s ..and if you watch those shows then you most certainly watch all the true crime and unsolved murder shows online or listen to those great podcasts as well...because I know that I do...I love them all.
I actually fall asleep listening to a podcast on ghost stories, true crime or unsolved murder every single night...and I know that I can’t be the only person who does this?
So if you love ghost stories and true crime then you have found your people.
Every province in Canada has it’s own array of ghost stories, hauntings, local legend and lore. Yet, the majority of the smallest towns and biggest cities in Canada have their own deep dark secrets, including unsolved murders, mysteries, and disappearances. And on this Podcast we are going to talk about them all.
As an award winning storyteller, I have been entertaining audiences with Alberta’s creepiest tales as producer and host of the Edmonton Ghost Tours. Collecting creepy stories for many years that I now want to share with you!
