Hey, homebodies! It’s Ashley. While we take a short break, I’ve been working on something exciting. And that is my new writing podcast called: THE SETTING.

Every other Wednesday, I am going to take you along with me to all of the bookish, unusual, and haunted settings of my writing life.

We will chat about writing, particularly the places where we love to write, famous literary locations throughout New England (and beyond), and, of course, lots of bookstore adventures.

And over the course of the next year, I will document my journey from the very beginning - literally starting this podcast without so much as a novel-in-progress all the way to my first completed manuscript in one year.

And of course, in true Haunted Homebodies fashion, I will be visiting haunted locations, old cemeteries, and spooky landmarks to inspire my own scary stories.

This is our last episode of Haunted Homebodies Season 2, and man do we go out with a BANG...or is that the sound of poor Stellan Skarsgard’s one-armed body being used as a battering ram by a shark? If that sentence doesn’t tell you enough about the film we’re covering today, just know we also talk about the incredibly bad science, non-stop anxiety-inducing underwater action scenes, something known as a “shark wrangler”, and also LL Cool J. All in all, it’s a great time, and a perfect send off for the season.

Take a trip with us to a local haunt(ed tunnel) of ours in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. While we always heed a harbinge and may not have seen anything actually ghostly during our mini haunted road trip last winter, there are plenty of stories of creepy noises, ghoulish revenge and more at the Hoosac Tunnel.
