There's a place off Ocean Avenue, that has an incredibly dark history. It was around 6:30 pm on Wednesday November 13th, 1974 when Ronald Defeo Jr. stumbled into Henry’s Bar. I can only imagine that he looked somewhat erratic to staff and patrons when he swung open the door and began pleading for help. 

Given the urgency of his please, several bar patrons accompanied Ronald back to his home at 112 Ocean Avenue, where they made a terrifying discovery. Only this just was just the beginning of a chilling ghost story--one that is famously known today as the Amityville Horror.

During the 1700s, Spanish settlers traveling through the Santa Lucia Mountains began to notice dark figures in the distance at sundown. They were tall and foreboding, never failing to send a shiver up the spines of these mere mortals. They called these specters Los Vigilantes Oscuros, or The Dark Watchers, because it seems as if they are always watching from a distance. They say you shouldn't approach these specters as they harbor the power to... take you. But do they exist? As it turns out, this Haunt may come down to basic physics.

Robert the Doll is perhaps the most infamous haunted artifact in the world. But before this cursed item became somewhat of a household name, it was simply a child's favorite toy. The item belonged to Robert "Gene" Otto of Key West Florida, who supposedly received the doll as a simple gift when he was four. However, as Gene grew older, he developed a peculiar relationship with the toy. He personified it and before long, Robert the Doll took on a life of it's own. Today, the artifact is known as the most haunted doll in the world--one that can apparently curse you--if you are brave enough to take it's photo that is. So, would you take his picture?

It all began with a trek through the Honey Island Swamp. Avid hunter Harlan Ford was hiking through the wilderness area, looking for a prime hunting campsite; but instead, discovered a creature that paranormal enthusiasts would be hunting down for years to come. He spent the next decade searching for the Honey Island Swamp Monster, and in the end, he may have even captured the cryptid on film.

At the height of the spiritualism movement, psychic mediums were constantly on the look out for new ways to interact with the spirit world. There were, of course, many bona fide mediums who worked tirelessly to connect their clients to their departed loved ones. But on the opposite side of that coin, there were countless would-be mediums who were out for a quick profit by taking advantage of the next fad. Enter spirit photography, which came with the promise of photographing the living alongside the spirits of their long dead loved ones. Is this practice a legitimate means for spirit communication, or just another get rich quick scheme? You decide!

If you are in the market for a private island in the Adriatic Sea, Daksa Island is up for grabs... if you can stomach its menacing reputation that is. According to local lore, this seemingly pristine island comes with a pretty unnerving ghost story, which claims that the island is haunted by about sixty ghosts. Not to mention, the island is said to be cursed. Due to this reputation, it is rare for anyone to visit Daksa Island.. would you?
