The froghemoth and the Gherkin slam into each other in the air. There is the shrieking of animated stone meeting frogflesh. Strange tentacles slap out from the froghemoth.

Although the party has just lost Zagru and ImGob, the battle with the frogfolk continues. Milden, Ophelia, and Urmas maneuver the Gherkin into a standing position. Arvel and Seithr continue to mop up the remaining frogfolk in the tall grasses along the Gherkin’s right hand side. The gigantic froghemoth leaps towards the Gherkin covering a 1/3rd of a mile in a single bound.

Milden, Urmas, and Ophelia continue to try to free the Gherkin from the forgfolks’ restraining ropes. Arrows rain down upon adventurers who are outside. Sho and Ragrued have fallen under the salvos. Seithr, Arvel, and Soo-Ree bring death to many frogfolk. Caleni’s wall of fire slays many more. Immortalia continues to ferry Seithr’s wolfhound from one part of the battle field to another. But something wicked this way comes....

Inside the control room, Milden, Urmas, and Ophelia struggle to right the Gherkin. Outside diminutive frogfolk are throwing thick ropes over the prone castle top.

Milden steers the Flying Gherkin up over the edge of the floating island. He skims across the grasslands on the southwest corner of the island at about 200 feet elevation. When he reaches the edge of the jungle, with its giant towering palm trees, he descends to tree top level–still about at about 100 feet. (These are giant palms!) Milden has the Gherkin circle the arm of the jungle that extends to the southeast, and he sets the Gherkin down about two miles south of the frogfolk’s village. Milden walks the Gherkin on its chicken legs towards the stockade walls of the village and its thatch-roofed huts....

Milden pilots the Flying Gherkin over the northwest corner of the floating island. Arvel and Soo-Ree keep their sharp eyes trained on the dock area that is near the waterfall that rolls off the side of the island.

Combat aboard the dryder’s ship continues. But between the Seithr, Stabbi, and Shu’s cannon fire, Arvel and Morr’s archery, Ragreud in giant size, and Immortalia’s great sword the remaining gnolls and goblins stand little chance.

Katlego in red dragon form and Caleni in pteranodon form fly towards the fleeing enemy ship. Milden pursues with the Flying Gherkin. Cannon fire from the dryder’s vessel strikes Caleni-pteranodon and he transforms back into a halfling; Caleni, Urmas, Soo-Ree plummet to the ocean 300 some feet below, striking it with the force of falling onto concrete. It’s not pretty....

Milden pilots the Flying Gherkin towards one of the Sea Watch’s Towers. These three hundred feet tall wooden platforms and towers form a barrier along the Quarter Grounds between the depths of the Mersea and the safety of the continental shelf. The Sea Watch warns of approaching beasts from the Mersea and keeps a watch upon the deep sea fishing fleets from Isk-Dan and Nordhaus.

After months of nearly nonstop adventure, our heroes have returned to Nordhaus. While Quinn, Urmas, and Tazio supervise the addition of a sub-basement onto the Flying Gherkin, the rest of the party spreads out across the city. Some stay out of trouble, others do not.
