Ugh, another data breach. A massive one.

What do you do when these happen?

Ignore it and hope it goes away? Scan your email to see if you were involved and then move on with your day? Panic, stay riddled with anxiety, and then ultimately eschew online life altogether?

If you’d like an option that is sensible and proactive, let’s talk about how you can move your online accounts and info from less secure to more secure.

More Tips

-Put security freezes on credit using the bureaus, Equifax/TransUnion/Experian, and review your credit while you’re there. You can also place a Fraud Alert
-Lock your SSN at the Social Security Administration to avoid it being used for fraudulent employment or other purposes. (You can unlock it temporarily if the new job is for you.)
-Lock your SIM from being swapped (with your carrier)

Have you been getting the sleep you need?

If not, there are many factors that could be at play, but you may want to consider the foods and drinks you have in the second half of your day.

Some of them, and ones you don’t even realize, have properties and/or after effects that can make it more challenging for you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

And with the way the world is going, you definitely need your adequate rest.

Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright.

I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year!

Yeah, I’m not joking.

Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to.

And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews.

Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process)

If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024.

We’re expanding our contemplation of creativity and those with creative temperaments to discuss the fact that sometimes when you make things and share them with others, fame of various amounts can ensue.

But by being aware of or intentional about taking care of yourself and others, it can help to alleviate the health challenges.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how creative and well-known people show up in the world, and while doing research on the matter, I discovered the results of a number of studies.

I was particularly drawn to one summarization that discussed some of the stark opposites that live inside those who develop and express their creativity as a lifelong pursuit: artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, even some athletes, and others.

Because the way you and I show up in the world is inextricably connected to our inner workings and motivations, understanding more is a chance to understand better - both yourself and the creatives around you.
