Today we're talking about Contract vs Covenant in regards to marriage. Most of us seem to think a marriage is conditional, yet that is not what God's word says or what God's love empowers us to do. We are called into Covenant. For better and for worse. Listen in as I define what this means and, how we are enabled to walk this out. Also, we have a SPECIAL treat today: Tom and JoAnn Doyle of Uncharted Ministries are with us. They are accomplished ministers of the Gospel all over the world, authors, speakers and teachers. Yet, their greatest accomplishment is their 40-year marriage and the legacy they are leaving for their 6 children and 9+Grandchildren!

As believers in Christ, we have the assurance in John 10 that we are 'hard-wired' to hear God's voice. We were created intimately by Him and created for intimacy with Him. Learning to discern whose voice we are listening to is a game-changer in our relationship with God, with our spouses and in other relationships. In this world that has so many voices, let's learn to hear the One voice that matters the most.

Today we start digging into some of the concepts of healing and freedom from "The Perfecting Storm: Experiencing God's best through the trials of Marriage."  We look at the starting point or restarting point of a healthy marriage, using the backdrop of the book of Ephesians. Also, we differentiate between the Kingdom of Self and the Kingdom of God.  It's a choice, which one we decide to live out of. It's a game-changer in our marriages and any relationship we are in, so subsequently it can affect the world.  One person, allowing God to do what He desires in your heart; has immense influence. Grab a friend, a spouse, your small group and, listen in! 

Marriage is hard. It's not for the faint of heart.  And our world tells us that somehow it should always be full of passion and ease. So most of us feel disappointed and disheartened in our marriage, at one time or another. And if that season lasts long enough, many of us give up on our marriage altogether. Till death due us part ends up in divorce.  Right now, with the Pandemic, economic woes, racial tensions and political crisis, the external is impacting the internal of our homes. This series will explore how we can effect our marriage for good. How God's redemption can impact and change one person, and subsequently our marriages. There is hope: and there is  a better way.  

Following up with last weeks message with some real-life stories of transformation.  Be blessed and be encouraged to seek your own healing.  "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)
