The dust has settled on a hastily-assembled All-Star game in Atlanta at the mid-point of the 2020-21 NBA season, with the Celtics star wings having made some noise in the annual exhibition after turning around a spate of ill fortune heading into the break. But what does the coming second act of the season hold for the Celtics, who dive into it about as hard as one can with a match against Atlantic Division rival Brooklyn Nets this Thursday? Will the center hold, or will they take another nosedive in the standings? Is it worth going all-in on using the team's massive traded player exception (TPE) now if the Nets are an immovable object in their path to the Finals? To get an outside perspective on these questions as well as some answers on just how much better Brooklyn might be with the addition of Blake Griffin over the break, we brought in some expert opinion. Off the Glass head honcho and "Brooklyn Buzz" podcast founder Nick Fay joins us this episode, and we got down to brass tacks on what both teams can expect in the East's second half. Join hosts Cam Tabatabaie and Alex Goldberg as they cover all things post All-Star 2021 on this episode of the Celtics Lab.

The Boston Celtics aren't dead -- they're feeling better, actually! Three-fourths of the way through a critical closing stretch to close out the first half of their 2020-21 NBA season, the Celtics have won all but the last one remaining, and have transformed the stormy, depressing narrative that had attached itself to the team in recent weeks. From majority owner Wyc Grousbeck and team president Danny Ainge appearing on local sports radio to signal the ball club might punt on the season to revived confidence in Boston's potential and Kemba Walker's health, it's been a heck of a week. Join hosts Alex Goldberg, Justin Quinn and cam Tabatabaie as they break down one of the most positive weeks of the season for the Celtics, and enjoy the new intro ahead of Alex' band Divine Sweater's new single release.

The Boston Celtics can't seem to string two wins together in a season they were anticipated to contend for a title, and while that goal might not be off the table just yet, it's also clear some major changes are in order to stabilize the ship. With so many factors in play for creating the dissonance in the Celtics' play in 2020-21, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what the problem is -- or if the issue is more that there are several. Almost no offseason, a condensed season, a pandemic with few if any fans in stands and COVID-19 and other injuries hampering the roster all factor into the equation. But who's to blame, and who ought to be exploring new opportunities as a result if any? This pod, we're joined by CLNS podcast producer Evan Valenti as we try to get to the bottom of these questions. Join Alex Goldberg, Cam Tabatabaie and Justin Quinn as we point fingers and beg for change going forward.

Before the Boston Celtics got back in the win column against the Denver Nuggets Tuesday night, it's probably safe to say emotions surrounding the Celtics internally and among their fans were at a nadir for the season. With a .500 record and embarrassing losses driven in part by players the Celtics could have drafted, rumbles of ire and fingers of blame abounded. But a voice of reason emerged from the wilderness to help us at the Celtics Lab podcast in the form of the so-called "godfather of Weird Celtics Twitter" The Riffsman. If you know him, this is an episode you don't want to miss as he guides back from the darkside in a most prescient manner. And if you don't, stick around for the in-depth conversation on how to un-[expletive] the Celtics vibes, Bill Russell's humanitarianism, and who might click with Boston's big traded player exception. Join hosts Alex Goldberg and Cam Tabatabaie for an unbuttoned Lab, only made better by the Riffsman calling it like it is.

The Boston Celtics have nearly completed their annual West Coast road trip as they inch closer to the 2020-21 NBA trade deadline, and it's clear that even considering several recent injuries, the team has issues it needs to address. At the same time -- and possibly because of that -- team president Danny Ainge revealed that the Celtics were on the hunt for the right sort of deal to address those issues, emphasizing defense and "shooting with size". In the latest episode of the Celtics Lab podcast, we link up with The Playgrounder's Matt Esposito to talk about potential fits for all three of Boston's traded player exceptions to that end, as well as a host of other issues. If you're bent out of shape regarding the possibility of an All-Star game in a pandemic, or have strong feelings on what the Celtics' next big move ought to be, this is the pod for you. Join hosts Alex Goldberg, Cam Tabatabaie and Justin Quinn as they dive into just what those supposed trade rumbles might be asking after.
