As Danny continues in the book of Luke 14; we understand the Pharisees are carefully watching for Jesus to heal on the Sabbath day, and in this you will see Jesus provides freedom from religious legalism...He is referring to them putting rules over suffering people and this does not reflect the Heart of God. Listen in and see how Jesus teaches us to invite to the party, the rejected and the unexpected until the house is full!

Danny talks about the distractions of life in the work place and relationships, and the goal to play big for God, "bring heaven to earth".

Four things that will pulls us away from playing big for God; Hypocrisy (Luke 12:11), Greed (Luke 12:13-21), Worry (Luke 12:24), and Laziness (Luke 12:35-36).

"Worry happens when security in God is pulled away by your insecurity about the future".

How to Refocus; get on the watch -- expecting Jesus to come back, get involved with kingdom business, get ready to give an account.

So how do you play big for God? Don't get distracted, and set priorities.
   

Danny teaches us the word "Apostle" = One Sent. and Ambassador is an Authorized Representative. We also learn Jesus hands His ministry off! First to a limited Commission (12 Apostles - Luke 9:1-9), next to an expanded Commission (72 others - Luke 10:1-21), and last the Great Commission preached in his name to all nations (Christians - Luke 24:47). 

But beware of -- enemy territory and opposition; so go with God, together (2 by 2), with simplicity, rejection, victories and person of Peace.

As Danny continues in the book of Luke 9; Jesus reveals the Cross for himself and the Disciples, and struggles right along with them, and reveals the lifestyle (vs 23); "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me..."
All need to see the "light at the end of the tunnel". 

Dan Stribling delivers a message on the importance of being called to disciple to all nations, just as Jesus instructed the Twelve disciples -- but God wants from us to be Dependent on Him (Matt 6:31-33, Prov 3:5-6), become Relational (Luke 10:5-7, Acts: 4:32-37), and Wise (Matt 10:16, 7:6), and the Power comes from God (2 Peter 1:3), Phil 4:11-13, Eph 3:14-21).   

Luke 9:10-17, Luke writes to the Gentiles to know who Jesus was, and to know Him. Listen as David describes the different stories of an impossible situation, sacrificial giving, power of God and abundant provisions.

In Luke 8:22-25, the Disciples see Jesus' power over nature. Purpose of the miracles were to confirm God's warning to pay attention as in Hebrews 2:4; the miracles are signs that point to a future perfection...Jesus...and to point to a better day in Heaven.
