Great intro to this week's sermon...Do we pretend to be humble or are we actually close to God? Right now you don't know what's going on in your heart...are you alone with God's word? God is telling you something.

Time with God is so important, look at these scriptures; 2 Peter 1:12-21. 2 Corinthians 4, 
John 21:18-19, Jesus is telling Peter "It's worth it"

Danny clears up any misconception from last weeks news and follows with the Sunday Sermon scheduled on Fasting.

 

Danny talks about how we need to prepare ourselves to pray. We need to have an open mind, must come to God wanting to hear from him, expecting him to be there. This message points out we need to schedule time to listen, remove all distractions and do what He says.

Danny wants us to consider the fact: We are speaking to a real divine person, call him Father, Dad, always pray and don't give up.

Prayer is an expression of our love for God! Pray with reverence, don't forget how amazing it is to pray!

Just Ask! Prayer requires faith!

Guest Speaker Jon Rhoades, Children & Family Minister at the First Christian Church in Brazil, IN. presented the sermon on "The Expected One".

As Danny finishes up the Christmas series, he talks about the absence of conflict is the presence of God. The Prince of Peace came (Luke 2:1-7), Jesus did not enter the world to leave it like he found it! He gave the promise of Christmas, and stayed through the Holy Spirit.
