When it comes to relationships, proximity matters!

The Tabernacle in Exodus is:

A place of closeness. (Exodus 25:8-9)

God was living with his people.

A place of covenant. (Exodus 25:10-16)

Covenant: A pledge of friendship between God and man.

A place of covering. (Exodus 25:17-22)

Atonement: Grace that covered sin.

Key Question:

What kind of experience took place in the tabernacle?  HOME.

Jesus is THE Tabernacle: John 1:14

He draws close to us. (vs. 14a)

He is a true friend. Grace and truth. (vs. 14b)

He is our salvation. (vs. 14c)
