Tim and Mary take a look at the latest news cycle, with the specific underlying theme of the greatest headline in a generation, that of the modern nation of Israel. Much of the church has left the position of Israel being the main player in God’s last days plan. What are some of the things we are following right now?  The UN and their obsession with a 2-state solution has caused the world to think that 1) if they say it often enough it will happen, and 2) it IS the solution to the “Mideastmess”.  Israel expert Jim Fletcher asks the question, “what will happen when France (and other co-conspirators) declares a Palestinian state? Absolutely nothing. The US and Israel are nowhere to be found here politically or philosophically. Also today we talk about the 9th of Av, an annual commemoration and period of mourning in Israel that occurs each Summer at some point. This is a day to remember the destruction of both Jewish temples, but so much more – a very interesting dot-connecting exercise.
