Headspace Sessions Podcast Adelaide episodes

  • S5 EP9: Let’s talk about it: answering your questions (season finale)

To wrap up the season, we’re handing the mic to young people.

In this special Grab Bag Q&A episode, we answer anonymous questions submitted by young people in our community, sharing lived experience and peer perspectives.

    We explore questions around:

    • navigating gender identity and sexuality when family or peers aren’t accepting

    • knowing when work is impacting your mental health

    • feeling “not unwell enough” to seek support

    • second-guessing uni or study pathways near the finish line

This episode is about normalising uncertainty, giving yourself permission to grow and change, and recognising that you’re not alone in figuring things out.

If something here resonated with you, support is available and you don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out.

  • S5 EP8: music, meaning, and mental health (feat. Aston from towns)

Music is woven into everyday life; in our headphones, our cars, TikTok, gaming, and the moments in between. But music is more than background noise. It shapes our identity, helps us feel connected, and can even support our mental health.

In this episode, we explore how music helps us feel seen and understood, the creative side of making music (and why you don’t have to be “good” at it), why creativity can boost mood, slow down stress, and help express emotions, how music can become a coping tool during tough times, Aston’s experience as a musician, and what creativity means to him.

From emotional expression to grounding moments, music can be a skill we use without even realising it, and this episode dives into how and why it works.
