In the midst of massive uncertainty and loss, it’s tempting to look for silver linings. But if we really want the Covid-19 pandemic to lead to positive, lasting change, then we need to stop trying to turn our pain into profit, and learn how to be with our darker, more difficult emotions.

Finding balance in the midst of a big transition is challenging, and the transition we’re living through is bigger than anything we who are alive now have experienced before. In this episode, we talk about what’s helping us to stay grounded, present, and balanced in a time of transformation and uncertainty.
What’s coming up for you as you adjust to living in lockdown? Like many other people, we’ve been experiencing fear, worry, grief, frustration, anger and overwhelm, as well as love, curiosity and hope. In this episode, we explore how can we be with these feelings in a supportive way, so we don’t get stuck feeling stuck, or afraid, or trapped, or miss opportunities for healing that this time might provide.
When it really matters to be heard, which do you find hardest: speaking up in a group, or speaking in a one-to-one situation? Are both equally scary for you? In Episode 12, we talk about some of the things that can make it hard to speak up authentically, especially when we feel “less than," and how to support ourselves to speak our truth while staying open to the words and experiences of others.
Reaching out to connect with others or trusting that they want to connect with us can be scary or confusing. Painful beliefs, rooted in old wounds, often get in the way: beliefs like “I’m not enough/I’m too much", "I don’t matter", or "everyone else knows how to do this - is there something wrong with me?” In this episode, we explore how these beliefs have affected us, and some simple practices to support healing, and new possibilities.
When the flow of connection with someone important to us breaks down, it’s very painful. That pain can be worsened by not knowing how to repair the rupture. Recently, we had a bit of a misunderstanding that was painful for both of us, so in this episode we made the repair - modeling the steps that we’ve found effective in restoring connection.
