In this episode I interview Dr. Eli Camp, ND, DHANP, VNMI. Dr. Eli Camp is a 2005 graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). She lectures across the country and internationally at numerous health conferences, public school districts and to the community in general regarding the topics of health and the practice of homeopathy and vitalism. She routinely teaches business at the North American naturopathic medical schools and runs private, in-depth homeopathic training.

In 2008, she founded Medicine Talk, now called Health Talks 365, which educates the public about Naturopathic Medicine. She was co-founder of Medicine Talk Professional which offers business resources and services to students and NDs. The most recent evolution of this company is Medicine Talk Pro Shareable which supplies holistic marketing content to individual practitioners. In 2017, she and Dr. Judith Thompson founded Vital Health Publishing for works created by vitalistic naturopathic doctors. She and Thompson are co-authors of The Unvaccinated Child: A Treatment Guide for Parents and Caregivers.

Dr. Camp is of Cherokee descent and remains active within the tribe to mentor and educate those individuals interested in pursuing an allied health profession and seeking to learn a more traditional way of medicine. She currently serves on the boards of the Naturopathic Medicine Institute and the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians.

Her passion is bringing the knowledge of what is possible to create hope for people seeking optimal health.

In this episode I interview Dr. Rick Kirschner. Dr. Rick Kirschner is a retired professional speaker, business skills educator, personal and executive coach, film-maker, blogger, and an internationally bestselling author.  

As founder of Art Of Change LLC, he delivered motivational speeches and training programs on The Art of Change Skills for Life™ nationally and internationally, to some of the best known organizations in the world, including the FDA, the Federal Reserve, NASA, Nationwide Insurance, Starbucks, Texas Instruments, and Toyota.  He delivered his ideas and advice on communication, persuasion and conflict resolution through hundreds of radio and television appearances, newspaper and magazine articles and interviews, from CNBC to CBC to FOX to the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, London Times, Executive Excellence and Readers Digest. 

From 1980 to 1986, he delivered training programs on communication from Los Angeles to Seattle.  In 1987, he was one of only 15 speakers chosen by the Tom Peters Group to present the revolutionary In Search of Excellence  and Thriving On Chaos training programs to businesses and organizations around the globe.  His coauthored audio program "Dealing with Difficult People" was on Columbia House's all time top ten best seller list.

In 1994 he and Dr. Rick Brinkman co-authored the McGraw Hill international bestselling book, Dealing With People You Can't Stand: How to Bring Out the Best in People at Their Worst. It has been translated into 27 languages and was updated and re-released as a second edition in 2002, a third revised edition in 2012.  The MacMillan audiobook version was released in 2010, and an enhanced iTunes audiobook version was released in 2011 .  In 1998 he co-authored the McGraw-Hill book, Life by Design, Making Wise Choices, which is available in three languages. In 2002 McGraw-Hill released the third book by the team of Brinkman & Kirschner, Dealing With Relatives: Bringing Out the Best in Family at Their Worst. Their last book together, Love Thy Customer, was selected as McGraw Hill’s business book of the year 2006. 

In 2007, Dr. Kirschner authored the comprehensive ‘Insider’s Guide to the Art of Persuasion,’ consisting of two books, the Guidebook and the Playbook, along with a 32 track audio program on the topic.  He is the author or co-author of eleven audio and video programs on customer service, communication and life management.  His last book, 'How To Click With People: Building the Personal Side of Business,' was published in June 2011 by Hyperion Books.  In 2015, he wrote and produced a documentary film, ‘How Healthcare Became Sickcare: The True History of Medicine.     

Dr. Kirschner was an Oregon licensed Naturopathic Physician from 1981 until he retired his license in 2019.  His daughter runs the company he founded.  He served as President of the Naturopathic Medicine Institute in 2020.  He lives in the panhandle of Northern Idaho with his wife of 31 years, along with his one eyed cat and 4 chickens.

In this episode I interview Dr. Louise Edwards. Dr. Lou is a graduate of National College of Naturopathic Medicine, 1988 and the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, 1989.  She had a full time private practice in Durango, CO until 2005 when she chose to primarily focus on teaching and writing.  

 Dr. Edwards was an adjunct faculty member at National University of Health Sciences (since 2006) and Bastyr University (since 2000).  She teaches Naturopathic Philosophy, Case Analysis and Case Management, Intro to Counseling, as well as Cell Salts, Oriental Medicine and Practice Management.    She also taught in the clinic at NUHS.  

Dr. Edwards has presented at the AANP annual conference 3 times, twice for the Beaumont Hospital Integrative Medicine conference, several times at the Chicago Medical student Integrative conferences and most recently at the opening conference for NUNM Spirituality and Healing Institute.  She has been a frequent speaker at The Naturopathic Gatherings and Revitalization/Revival Retreats.

She had a full time private practice at Namaste Health Center, in Durango, CO from 1990 until 2005. Dr. Edwards’ practice is a general, family practice which is rooted in traditional naturopathic and Oriental principles of re-establishing the basis for health by correcting the underlying imbalances.  In addition, the modalities that she uses most often are nutrition, homeopathy, Western and Chinese herbs manipulation, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, counseling, compassion and education.

She has had a life long interest in spirituality and the capacities of human consciousness, has studied many spiritual traditions and has integrated that interest into her medical practice and classes.  She has twice presented on “Spirituality, the Science and Clinical Application” at the annual AANP conventions and several times as a guest lecturer at San Francisco State University.

Dr. Edwards in a founding member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), served on the AANP board for 3 years as Chair for unlicensed states and for 15 years in the House of Delegates.  She received the AANP’s “Vis Award” in 2011 and in 2021 was given the “Benedict and Louisa Lust Award” for lifetime achievement.

In this episode I interview Mike Govoni.  Mike is passionate about helping people in recovery
experience greater healing and transformation. As a person in recovery for over 16 years, Mike has personally walked this path and knows what it takes to not only recover but to heal. Mike has overcome what he calls Mount Everest like hurdles such as childhood trauma, addiction and chronic illness that lead to him having a profound spiritual awakening that he believes was the catalyst to his healing. Mike has extensive experience working in the addiction/recovery field. His experience includes supporting three major hospital emergency rooms in Boston for the opioid epidemic as a Recovery Coach helping patients with substance abuse and related complications.

Today Mike has a thriving private practice as a Trauma Informed Recovery Coach where believes helping people create a feeling of safety and connection within their own body is essential to becoming well and achieve long term recovery. Mike believes in addressing the whole person, not only to achieve greater freedom and abstinence from substances and harmful habits, but to empower clients with tools and resources to meet everyday life with more inner resilience, presence, and ease.

In this episode I interview John Eley.  John “JBLAZE” Eley is an American music producer, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California that has produced highly acclaimed work for major recording artists such as Ceraadi ,Sevyn Streeter, Algee Smith, Seryah, Naomi Scott, Niqa Mor, and more. He has placed songs on Fox’s Hit TV show “EMPIRE”, and Katherine Bigelows “DETROIT” soundtrack.

Born in Brooklyn, NY.  JBL8ZE was destined to entertain and inspire the world. From the young age of 2 he would bang on anything that could make a beat, his parents saw his musical talents and began to invest into buying him instruments. His first instrument was drums, later he moved onto playing bass in his Dad’s quartet group, he also picked up piano, and finally landed on his love for guitar.  JBL8ZE’s parents put him in music related schooling from Junior High through College, which has played as major for him in music. Since then  JBL8ZE has worked with a host of artist both in and outside of the studio with his skills on guitar, and has toured with a host of well-known Artist from Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, B.E.T.’s Sunday’s Best, 2 Chainz, Monica, Wynonna Judd, Fantasia, Nipsey Hustle, Brock Hampton, Pharell Williams, N.E.R.D. and many others. 

JBL8ZE’s musical talents has now landed beyond the stage into the studio where his production talents can be fully expressed. He gained the attention of music icons Randy Jackson, and Theron “Neff-U” Feemster. In 2018 John signed his first co-publishing deal with Ahh Haa Music/UMPG and has worked along side Chad Hugo of the “Neptunes” and is building his catalog with many other great songwriters and producers.

JBL8ZE recently produced the single “Favorite” for Roc Nations female group “Ceraadi” , from their recent EP “GRWM”, and also “Fa La La” for their Christmas single.  JBL8ZE has countless other projects in play with upcoming releases that will continue highlighting his amazing musical abilities.

With over 2 years in the regulated cannabis industry, he has drafted over 17 state marijuana license applications, business plans, and operating procedures for dispensary, cultivation, and manufacturing facilities in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, and Utah. In the hemp industry, Sean assists clients to obtain hemp licenses and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

In this episode I interview Clinton Buie. Clinton obtained his B.S. from The Ohio State University (OSU) in Electrical and Computer Engineering.  He received numerous scholarships during his tenure at OSU, and for his senior year, was awarded a summer research assistantship in the LEES lab at MIT.  Upon graduating, Clinton received a full Masters Scholarship from the Semiconductor Research Corporation to attend graduate school at Stanford University.

Clinton has worked at several startups (Humin, acq. ’16, Harmonize) and fortune 500 companies (General Electric, Workday, Google).  In 2011, Clinton was a member of General Electric’s Edison Engineering Development, a program targeted towards new grads for developing future leaders.  He specializes in full stack mobile engineering development and has led several product teams from idea to production.  

Clinton is currently a software engineer within Youtube, where he focuses building the next generation of live TV programming for mobile.  He resides in Los Angeles, CA where enjoys hiking, spending time with family/friends, and researching new investment opportunities.  In his free time, he loves chatting about alternative medicine, cryptocurrency, and is eager to travel around the world and see new cultures.  His interests are in Yoga, Tai Chi, Capoeira, and Crossfit.
