What if resilience isn't about bouncing back?

Who gets access to you-- and who taught you what that access should look like.

In this episode of Healing Reflections, we explore the connection between gatekeeping and healthy boundaries and how early experiences can shape what we tolerate, what we protect, and what we believe we have the right to say no to.

We'll reflect on rigid, porous, and healthy boundaries and consider how identity, shame, unforgiveness, people-pleasing, and our perceptions of ourselves and others can influence the boundaries we create-- or struggle to create.

I also share personal reflections and insights from my work as a therapist, personal experiences, along with a practical boundary exercise to help you consider:

 Who currently has access to me?

And ultimately, we return to courage—because sometimes the hardest part of setting a boundary isn't saying no. It's having the courage to tolerate what happens after you say it.

Healthy boundaries aren't about deciding that someone else has no value. Sometimes they're about finally recognizing that you have value, too.

What if forgiveness isn't about excusing what happened—but about freeing yourself?

People who come in the form of antagonists cause a great deal of harm (lots of traumas) social conditions, broken dreams, and the list is endless. This podcast begins to identify these "things" (Call them out) that have been sent and to try and seal the message that you do not matter. In this episode, we continue to allow the "first rain" to pour on these hard places so that that "latter rain" will come and cause to bear fruit--- that Your Story Matters!"
