A new American independent crime thriller is set to explode on VOD beginning with filmmaker Patrick Lazzara's debut feature BURN, set for release across North America beginning April 1st on major platforms including iTunes, VUDU Amazon and more. Bare bones and brutal, BURN is an emotionally intense feature film about a hit man who finds out his younger brother killed the mob boss's trophy wife. He has two days to find him and get him out of town before a contract killer catches up with them.

Raised in Las Vegas, Actor/Writer Patrick Lazzara, has a lifetime of experience gambling when it comes to making a name for himself in Hollywood.

A career of character work in film and TV, alongside his own day job as a Los Angeles restaurant manager, has equipped the resilient and driven Lazzara, with the passion to achieve what many spend a lifetime just dreaming of, the production, completion and ultimately the commercial release of his own feature film entitled BURN.

“ I was a crazy movie buff, always going to the movies and whatever got released. My friends would be off partying or whatever, and I'd be, I'm gonna stay home, watch movies,”

Eventually venturing on to follow his acting dreams, taking theater at the University of Las Vegas, continuing on to study at the prestigious Joseph Bernard acting studio before making his way to Hollywood.

Working away, it was a chance meeting on the set of an independent film with cinematographer Carlos Jimenez, that would lead him to begin a decade-long production odyssey to create and complete BURN.

Alongside Carlos' partner, Auriel, Lazzara and The Jimenez's would fight to bring BURN to fruition, an emotionally intense story of a hit man who finds out his younger brother killed a mob boss's trophy wife. He has two days to find him and get him out of town before a contract killer catches up with them.

Never wavering, always fighting even through chemotherapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma, Patrick Lazzara is the epitome of perseverance. “I don't sit there and dwell on things,there was never a moment of whoa is me cuz people had it worse, I had a good support system, so I just kept driving forward to make things happen”.

Deena is the Director of Goodman Physical Therapy, Inc in West Los Angeles. She is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 30 years of experience specializing in mind-body integration exercises, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and sexual health. Goodman is one of the first physical therapists to become a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health and was recognized in 2009 by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties for this high achievement.

In 2019 she was one of the first in the country to receive Board Recertification by the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. She is one of only  few who specializes in women’s and men’s pelvic floor dysfunctions.  

Deena received a bachelor’s of science degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and in Health Science graduating Magna Cum Laude in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge. She completed a 3 year program in Integrative Body Psychotherapy from the IBP Central Institute in Los Angeles, and is currently on their teaching staff. In addition, she is Biofeedback Certified by the International Alliance and uses many of her mind-body exercise techniques to assist her clients in lowering anxiety, decreasing pain, and providing them with tools that will allow them to have a sense of well being in their body.

Dr. Harjani is the director of the Medical Focus Program at Providence High School. He has 35 years’ experience as an instructor for health care careers and life-sciences. He teaches Introduction to Health Care, Genetics & Biotechnology, Ethics in Health Care, AP Biology, and Anatomy-Physiology, and is the moderator for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Los Angeles Brain Bee, and Providence Pioneers AIDS Walk Los Angeles. Dr. Harjani attended Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College and graduated with a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Pune, India. His interest in teaching was born while in medical school and during his years in pediatric residency. After arriving in the US following study programs in the Caribbean, UK, and Spain, he decided to experience being a high school educator in science while pursuing his primary interest in seeking a medical residency. His journey to educating the youth and preparing them for academic success started in 1985 at Pater Noster HS, a Catholic all-boys school in Eagle Rock, and in 1991, he accepted a teaching position at Providence, followed by the positions of Science Chair and Medical Focus Program Director in 1992. Dr. Harjani also has 20 years of teaching experience with Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth as a summer programs science instructor. Dr. Harjani is grateful to have experienced life in four continents before California became his home for 35 years and counting - born in Morocco, early childhood in Spain, and all of his education in India. He is proud to celebrate his rich Indian heritage. He loves Los Angeles because of its amazing diversity and the culinary variety it offers. Patrick had a big awakening when he went from a lifelong athlete (a former competitive tennis player) to almost entirely sedentary when he started his desk job. Paul Cardall: Living With A Stranger’s Heart It’s a miracle the GMA Dove Award winning artist Paul Cardall is alive. His story is a testament to the human spirit, one full of determination and humility. 

After being born with a profound disability, Paul underwent critical surgeries, just hours after his birth. Throughout childhood and early adulthood, he lived with just ONE WORKING VENTRICAL, so basically half of his heart. This made him acutely aware of his own mortality. Following the tragic loss of one of his closest friends when he was a teenager, Paul spun into a dark place filled with existential questions and haunting grief. 

Fighting the heartache, Paul made the choice to grow. With the piano as his foundation, success found its way to him when, in 1994, author Richard Paul Evans invited him to compose a musical adaption of his No. 1 New York Times best-selling novel "The Christmas Box". The resulting album and Evans’ mentorship launched his professional recording career. 5 years later he founded Stone Angel Music which was a springboard for the release of his own albums. They debuted at Number 1 on 8 Billboard charts and solidified a worldwide committed following, earning him over 2 billion streams on Pandora alone. 

 

In 2009, another miracle happened while sharing his own experiences with parents of children suffering from congenital heart disease at Children's Hospital, Paul was notified that a heart had become available for him. It belonged to a young man who had taken his own life after his family left the States and returned to live in Mexico.

As a recipient of a normal functioning heart, Paul says he felt like he had been driving an old truck all his life and that was all he knew. Then the doctors gave him the keys to a Porsche. His story is nothing short of miraculous.

 

He has performed to sold out audiences in Slovenia, Croatia, England, France and various venues within the United States. Some of these include national TV performances at the White House, Lifestyle Magazine, and music featured on CNN. In 2018, Paul’s holiday album, “Christmas” won the Gospel Music Association’s prestigious Dove Award for Instrumental Album of the Year. 

He has collaborated with countless musical greats and lives in music city - Nashville, TN with his wife Tina.  His latest album “December” takes listeners on a journey from the rise of a new moon in September through the start of the New Year. Paul strives to capture as many emotions as possible in his music in the hopes of comforting and giving hope to all his listeners.
