This week I was joined by Stephen Marchant who is the President for Growth and Strategy at Chameleon Communications International. On this episode we talked about nurturing talent in healthcare comms and why it’s so important for the scale and mentality of a healthcare comms agency. For me, this topic was really interesting as I’m in recruitment myself and know this topic/agenda doesn’t get taken seriously in some agencies. It’s a huge factor in the wellbeing of a business from growth plans all the way up to the wellbeing of each employee. It’s amazing to hear from someone who is championing this process throughout their agency. Alongside this, Stephen has been in the world of healthcare comms since the mid 90’s, and he was Chameleons 44th employee they hired (which was almost 16 years ago). He has a wealth of experience/knowledge and has held various senior roles within one of the leading healthcare comms agencies across the UK. On a personal note, I really enjoyed speaking with Stephen he came across very down to earth, smart, intelligent and it seemed to me like he wasn’t afraid to tackle important issues that most people wouldn’t like to touch. One thing that really struck me though, was how passionate he is about the role he’s currently doing, and just in general being hugely passionate about improving the people around him, he loves it. I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I have, listen out for the quick-fire mini-series on Wednesday with Stephen. Happy listening!
