Part of having a healthy theology of suffering is knowing that it’s not unusual for Christians to face hardships in their faith, as they journey through this strange land.
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Part of the reason we can lack in power, as believers, is because we have a bad theological understanding of suffering.
