What is the motivation or call to action that causes us to decide to change our lifestyle to become healthy. Truly healthy. Alec Godwin from Hive_Fitness Podcast joins me to discuss that very topic. We share a bit of what we have gone through to heal, the experience and the discoveries along the way. Maybe you are being challenged with illness right now. Be assured that good health is in your hands. But you have to take the initiative, step out from the conventional thinking and discover for yourself the causes of your illness. Once you take care of the cause, the symptoms disappear.

Our bodies "Health System" (immune system) was created to maintain the bodies health. It is not the the warrior standing ready to fight off attacks from bacteria, viruses or fungus. You know, GERMS! It has never been proven that anyone can transmit any so called contagion. The opposite is actually the truth. Many attempts to transmit illness from one organism to another has not been successful. Listen as I tell the story how during the 1918 Spanish Flu, men were subjected to fluids from sick patients and not one got ill or died.

"The information promulgated by the medical establishment about infectious diseases is based on the 'germ theory, the fundamental assertion of which is that germs invade the body and cause disease....disease-causing microorganisms are refereed to as pathogens; however, although widely believed that all 'germs' are pathogenic, is not the case."
From the book "What really makes you ill" by Dawn Lester and David Parker.
10 years of painstaking research resulted in an 800 plus page book that explains the why, how and mechanisms of illness. It's not what we we thought to believe!

Put on your critical thinking hats as we are joined by Dawn Lester, co-author of "What Really Makes Us Ill." Dawn and her co-author David Parker spent ten years researching for their book. So what really makes people ill? The usual responses to such questions refer to two interrelated ideas, both of which are widely believed to be fundamental truths. The first of these ideas is that illness occurs because a person has contracted a disease of some description. The second is that each disease is a distinct entity that can be identified by the unique symptoms it produces within the body. Their book demonstrates that these are IDEAS and not TRUTHS.
Hold on to your hats. This is on eye opener.

Denial is a very powerful thing. For years I lived in fear of a heart attack because of my family history. But still lived, ate and drank like I was going to live forever. I believe they call that cognitive dissidence. The state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change. I finally came to face my greatest fear. A heart attack. But the second heart attack is the one that really turned me around. Join me as I share my journey to great health. My hope is that some will find hope and encouragement in their quest to better health.
