When I lowered a hydrophonic microphone into a 40 litre office aquarium tank to listen to what the fishes are hearing, I was expecting the kind of soundscape that I'd heard on films like The Abyss and Sphere. What I heard was *nothing* like what I expected. What might also surprise you, is the special relationship that ornamental fish, like goldfish, koi and guppies, have with Singapore.

Singapore is a financial centre in Asia that handles a phenomenal amount of money every day, but it's still cash that makes the heart sing cha-ching! I bought a note counting machine off Carousell and recorded the heck out of it as it counted S$1k in the form of 20 x S$50 bills. 

Long term investors know that a diversified portfolio makes sense, but a LOT of people still have readily available cash, and scammers are targeting Singaporeans via sophisticated schemes that rely on tricking victims into sending money electronically overseas, where it's impossible to get back.

This season, I'm looking for quiet spaces in Singapore, a city state with limited land that has to balance progress with preservation of green spaces. This episode, I'm at Bukit Brown Cemetery, a public Chinese cemetery established in the early 20th century but now considered abandoned. 

The 213-acre (0.86 km2) site at Bukit Brown was opened on 1 January 1922 as a cemetery and was managed as a public burial ground by a committee led by committee leaders Tan Kheam Hock and See Tiong Wah–who was at that time comprador of the Hong Kong Bank. In the next few decades, this area will be redeveloped into housing.
