This is a very special and yet somewhat sad episode of Heart of the Bookkeeper. Rick Freitag from Mount Buller in Victoria and of BizEducation Pty Ltd, was to be our first guest on the Podcast for 2023, however, in the final week of January 2023, Rick very sadly suddenly passed away. Rick Freitag will always be remembered as one of the "giants" of the Bookkeeping Industry here in Australia and in this episode, 4 associates of Rick share the Bookkeeping journey of his life, with us. It is inspiring to hear from our 4 guests of the incredible generosity, wealth of knowledge and massive numbers of Bookkeeping resources that Rick had created over many decades and was so willing to share with others in the Bookkeeping World. Rick was one of only a handful of Life Members of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and also in September 2018, at the MYOB Partner Conference held in Melbourne, Rick received his 25 Year Service Award as one of the original MYOB Certified Consultants in Australia.
