For part 1 of Talk 5, Fr. Michael takes us down a journey of imaginative prayer. He imagines what it might have been like for St. Peter to experience the events of the last supper, the foot washing, the admonition from Jesus that Peter would deny him 3 times before sunrise and the confusion and betrayal Peter himself might have felt.

He then looks at a modern Saint of our times, Mother Teresa of Calcutta who for decades continued her ministry of mercy despite being in her own spiritual desert.

Fr. Michael leads us in one final guided meditation, praying for the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts, our minds, and our whole selves.
John 20:19-23
On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the doors were locked where the disciples were,
out of fear,
Jesus came and stood in their midst
and said to them,
“Peace be with you.”
When He had said this,
He showed them His hands and His side.
The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to them again,
“Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.”
And when He had said this,
He breathed on them and said,
“Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.”
