A heart to heart chat with Zahra Goulamhoussen, an artist participating at World Art Dubai 2024. Her artwork is influenced by two of her greatest personal interests; wildlife and Islamic architecture.
 
After moving to the UAE, her artwork has been heavily influenced by the detailed and ornate architecture in the region. She is inspired by the symmetry and organic patterns in the interiors and exteriors of the monumental Islamic structures. It is this inspiration that is reflected in her complex hyper detailed compositions. Her ornate works include intricate designs incorporating both Islamic and Asian patterns resulting in a vibrant fusion of cultural art forms. Meet Yuvika Garg, our Featured Artist of the Month on Artezaar.com

Yuvika Garg is a trained contemporary artist based in Dubai. She primarily works with acrylics specially using palette knife on canvas. She has an abstract style of work. The role of an individual in modern day life, their journey and a state of trance inspires her. She believes that a painting is about capturing the essence of moments in a unique artistic style. *Her work Simplicity was chosen as one of the highest voted artworks by Ahlan Art gallery based in London 2017. *She was invited as an Art Expert in the panel for Young Women Leadership Summit, Dubai 2017. *Finalist at the Global Art Awards 2018. * Nominated for Noon Art Awards 2018 * Nominated for Clyde and Co Mena Art awards 2019 She has over 10 years of experience in teaching Art. She particularly enjoys teaching the younger generation. Her students have won in various art competitions at school and National level.

Meet Shilpa Rao Vangala, an artist was born in Surat, India, and has worked in Dubai and the USA. She works predominantly in the medium of charcoal and pastels. She also worked in mediums like acrylic and oil paints. She is a dreamer, enthusiast, and an artist along with being an IT engineer, but her passion and love for this field inspires her to create magic on a blank sheet. Shilpa is an autodidact and captivated by people and their honest expression which she enjoys to capture on her canvas. Her mission in life is to be able to connect to the world through her work.

Meet Sapna Jain, a finance graduate and a university merit list holder. She's a self-taught artist and an art activist based in Dubai, and has various exhibitions to her credit in Dubai as well as in India. Whilst Sapna has always loved and enjoyed her finance books, she would glance into the art world and wonder how people would beautifully play with colors; and this fascination towards art led her to pick up the brush and create her first painting. All her paintings depict love, devotion and hope, as it seems that the world would be a better place if everyone believed in God, thereby find love and happiness. Sapna loves to "Paint day in paint day out".

Meet Maitha Al Falasi, a young 11 year old Emirati artist. She discovered her passion for art when she started painting during the pandemic. She was 7 years old. Her first public showing casing of her art, was at Dubai Health department. Dedicating one of her paintings to the first line defenders along with 1 of 2 limited edition marble piece of her painting. 2nd exhibition, organized by Artezaar at Oberoi hotel - Dubai with few other young artist to showcase her love to UAE through her painting.
