A king made three plans to get rid of God’s people. Not one of them worked. Pharaoh worked God’s people until their lives were bitter, and there were more of them than ever. He ordered two midwives to do the exact opposite of their job — and they quietly did the right thing anyway. So he turned the river into a weapon, and the river is exactly how a baby boy was saved: a mother with a basket, and a big sister brave enough to speak up in front of a princess. Come along to Exodus, chapters 1 and 2, for the first trip in the story of Moses — and for what God is doing in all the long years when it looks like nothing is happening at all.

Ten men were healed. One came back. Ten men had a sickness that meant they weren't allowed to live in their own town anymore. So when Jesus came walking down the road, they stood far off and shouted for help. And Jesus didn't heal them right then — He told them to go see the priest. So they turned around and started walking, still sick, every one of them. Somewhere out on that road, it happened. Nine of them ran for home; one turned back to say thank you, and he's the very last person in the whole story anybody would have picked. Come along to Luke, chapter 17, for a story about the kind of walking you do before you can see how it turns out — and about stopping long enough to say thank You.

Today, adventurers, you're not getting a story. You're getting a MISSION. Your assignment is to show mercy to others. Four missions (plus a bonus one that's the hardest of them all) send you after the kid with no lunch, the new kid clutching his backpack, the friend who's been out sick for two weeks, and the person everybody forgot. Then comes the classified part, straight from Jesus in Matthew, chapter 25 — and it changes who you were really helping the whole time.

What if God asked you to fight a battle — and then kept making your army smaller? Gideon was hiding in a winepress, threshing wheat where raiders couldn't spot him, when an angel showed up and called him a "mighty man of valor." Gideon's honest reply? Are you sure you've got the right guy? Come along for secret raids, smashing jars, blazing torches, and an army that God shrinks from thirty-two thousand down to three hundred — on purpose (Judges 6–7). It turns out the power was never in the size of the army. It was in whose army it was.

Trick question, adventurers: who counts as your neighbor? A very smart lawyer once asked Jesus that exact question, hoping for an easy answer he could check off his list — and instead Jesus told him a story about a dusty road, a man left hurting in the dirt, and three travelers who each had to decide whether to stop. Two of them crossed to the other side. The third was the last person anybody expected. Come along for one of the most famous parables Jesus ever told (Luke 10:25–37), and find out why "love your neighbor" is a lot bigger than we think.

A secret identity, a wicked plot, and one of the bravest queens who ever lived! Esther was an orphan girl raised by her cousin Mordecai — and nobody in the Persian palace knew she was Jewish, not even after the king set a crown on her head. But when a royal advisor named Haman schemed to harm her people, Esther had to choose: stay safe and quiet, or risk everything to speak up for them. Come along and listen as an entire community joins together to give a young queen the courage and faith to step forward. (Esther 2–8, and Esther's own prayer in Esther 14)

Put on your raincoat, friends — it's one of the BIGGEST stories in the whole Bible! When the world forgot all about God, one man named Noah still walked with Him every single day. So God asked Noah to build an enormous boat to keep his family and two of every animal safe and dry. Climb aboard the big beautiful boat for the hammering and the hippos, the forty days of rain, the little dove with its olive branch, and the very first rainbow — God's forever-promise that He sees you, He's with you, and He always keeps His word. (Genesis 6–9)

For twelve long years, a woman has been sick — and no doctor could help her. But when she hears that Jesus is nearby, hope flickers back to life: if she can just reach out and touch the edge of His cloak, she knows she’ll be healed. Push through the crowd with us in this episode to discover what happens when we never give up, believe in Jesus’s power no matter what, and find the courage to tell Him the whole truth. Based on the healing of the woman of great faith in Mark 5:25–34 (also Matthew 9 and Luke 8), it’s a story about a Savior who doesn’t just heal us — He calls us close and names us His own.

What would you do if your best friend needed help and the door was completely blocked? In this episode we travel to a crowded little house in Capernaum, where four friends do something absolutely wild — they climb onto the roof, dig a hole right through it, and lower their paralyzed friend down to Jesus! But before Jesus heals the man's legs, He does something no one expected: He heals his heart first. It's a big, funny, wonderful story about how much Jesus cares about what's inside of us — and about being the kind of friend who never gives up. Based on Mark 2:1–12 and Luke 5:17–26.
