As you may well be aware, it's derby week. So Jamie, Adam and John unlock some of those derby memories from the matches you may have forgotten about as they share some of their recollections and bring in some listeners' ones too. A few of the more unforgettable ones are discussed too of course. The Falkirk match is reviewed and the Hibs game is previewed. A wee quiz is thrown in for good measure.
Long time jambo, Davy Wilson, joins the boys and talks some of his memories from nearly 70 years of following Hearts before opening up on his grief journey; a topic that is very close to both Adam and John. They discuss the challenges they have faced, what has been helpful to them and how Hearts have played a part in that journey. It's a powerful, emotional and ultimately inspiring conversation. Afterwards Trunter gives his combined 2005-06 and current day XI, there is a quiz and the Falkirk game is previewed
Jamie and Adam discuss, relive, celebrate and generally feeling very happy about the victory at Ibrox. All the latest transfers, news and injuries are covered before the boys compare our current squad to that of 2005/06. Will it be Shankland leading the combined team's front line or Jamie Mole? Only one way to find out.
A multiverse-esque crossover this week as Scarves Around the Funnel's Scott Mcintosh joins us on a one episode loan deal. We pick his brains about the current Hearts team, the recent injuries as well as the transfers and look ahead to the Rangers game. Scott also discusses his mental health journey, including a recent diagnosis of autism and reflects on how this has been for him. We finish up with some listener questions.
As the Summer transfer window closes, Jamie, Trunter, Adam and John go through all the dealings that have been made across the Summer with their verdict on each player and how they may (or may not) fit into the team. There was an away day with some last minute drama over in Livingston so the boys also give their thoughts on that as well as an accidental criminal quiz.
It's a full house as Jamie, Trunter, John and Adam return to talk about the Motherwell game. They chat about the 3rd biggest team in Scotland (clue: it's not Hibs) before doing the quiz and looking ahead to the trip to the stadium-formerly-know-as-The-Spaghettihad.
Episode in memory of Alan McLaren.
Trunter's first away day in years and - naturally - it ends in defeat. He talks to Jamie and Adam about the journey there, both literal and mental. The boys then examine what went wrong against St Mirren, what went right and then balance it all out as they preview the return to league action. Trunter also gives us his belated league predictions. Fair warning: a couple are absolutely honking.
Jamie, Adam and Trunter are all feeling very enthusiastic as Hearts continue their winning run. The second weekend of the Scottish Premiership is covered before reviewing the pulsating match at Tannadice. You will also discover why if you go to Nigeria then you shouldn't call anyone a Dundee United unless you want square goes. Lastly, the St Mirren match is previewed and the boys try their best at a Hearts trivia question,
One week in and the Bloom effect is in full force already as Hearts top the table! Plenty of optimism (with occasional bits of realism) as Jamie and Adam discuss the 90 Minutes with Tony Bloom event that they attended and, of course, look at our first game (and win) of the season. There is also some transfer talk, a mental health check-in and a look ahead to our trip to Tannadice.
Apologies for issues with previous upload of this episode. These have now been resolved.
