Heavy Metal Tones

This week's drop into the new Bruce Dickinson album I take a deep look into the meaning of the albums concept. I have a learning moment with the new laptop so there is a terrible edit in the first part I could not fix and let's take it as a learning moment. As I wind my way through the album so come with me as I change my mind on what it all means as I go.

Industrial Metal is a tough one to analyse both musically and lyrically, i gave it a go and sort of covered all i could. So many bands that i may have passed over but i did linger on the main front runners and i do a sort of dive into my favourite of the genre. So come and lets take a listen to some of the craziest and sonically diverse music of all the Metal sub genres.

Riot City maybe a band you have never heard but SHOULD as they are one of the most exhilarating Speed Metal bands on the planet right now. And their second album Electric Elite is a mighty slice of crazy speed fueled metal madness. And Live they are an act that will be very hard to follow for some time to come.

This episode has a really nice little treat instead of the usual Ad beak this time i have a new track from https://www.kronowski.com/ who where brought to my attention by Davide Pulito at www.themetalistpr.com so pop over if your interested in some top notch PR for your growing band or even the established acts who want a bigger push

All of us at one time or another has heard this classic album but this 2020 reissue that celebrates its 50th birthday and in amongst all sort of amazing goodies you get this contentious Quadraphonic mix that came out 4 years after its release in 1976. Yes its a strange concept quad sound folded back to stereo but trust me some Audiophiles will wince at this but its all you would expect and SO much more. Take a read of my full review for https://metal-roos.com.au/ on the link below it may just help you understand where i'm coming from.

There has been a decline in the messages that bands and performers with passion would put out, it was not that long ago that the youth of many societies got their guidance from the musical idols.Would Live Aid happen now, would punk happen now. You will have to listen to hear what i think on this matter.

This weeks episode sees me to get my hands and mind around a SOLID gold classic and a true transition album from NWOBHM to Mainstream radio friendly success. Many people think of Hysteria as the bands Epoch but i disagree and think this their first outing is where the seeds for one of the 80's biggest rock acts was sewn.

On through the night captured my imagination all those years ago ands till does to this day

Episode 150 would you believe it! this milestone is celebrated with a look at one of my biggest influences and a singer and band that without doubt changed the face of heavy rock forever. Far reaching influences across the globe that for a very short time back in the very dawn of the 70’s shook the foundations of the grey and the boring that ruled the music industry. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band is a name that should be on all our lips. Let’s make it so starting here.
