Heavy Minerals (ASX: HVY) non-executive chairman Adam Schofield joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s latest results from drilling programs across its garnet projects in Western Australia.

The explorer this week announced the completion of a maiden drilling program at the Red Hill prospect, reporting “many positive visual results”. Assays are expected to return in March.

Heavy Minerals hopes to release a maiden resource in the second quarter of 2023, pending results.

The company also recently completed additional air core drilling at its Port Gregory project to test resource extensions to the north, east and south.

An updated JORC resource is scheduled for Port Gregory in March ahead of a pre-feasibility study expected to start in April.
