Have you realized lately just how much AmeriKa-with-a-K looks like communist China? If not, take a listen – but that’s only how this one starts out.

Once upon a time, however, host Mark Call asked a question to his audience: “Is there a LINE, for you as an individual, that – IF Big Brother crossed it – would prove things have ‘gone too far’?”

But we are now at a point where,

“There IS no ‘line’ – any more!”

In the Erev Shabbat review, we see the story begin with more numbers, this time of those who will ‘carry the burden’ of His sanctuary, which sets the stage. That is followed by two sets of commandments concerning those things that, because of their implications, most of xtianity does seem to ignore, and then the longest chapter in the Torah, and ‘most redundant’. But there are reasons for that, and even, as it turns out, a lesson in computer science for those with “eyes to see”.

In the Sabbath day part of the message, Mark examines the “Things Overlooked” part of the parsha to show why they may be more important than we’ve been led to believe. What is it about Acts 21 that offends church dogma? And why is that cup of ‘the sota’, whether it’s referred to as “cup of trembling,” or “wrath”, or even “abominations” so central to a theme of the ‘torah of jealousy’ that ignoring the reasons WHY is easier than dealing with the idolatry?

By now, most regular listeners to Mark Call’s “no holds barred, no PC left unexposed” in-depth Torah studies will know that “Torah-as-Written” is going to offend those not even quite ready for ‘milk’. But this week’s Sabbath teaching also takes note of the fact that many of us will celebrate Shavout, the final of this year’s Spring Feasts, this weekend.

And for reasons that will hopefully make sense after this review (and go well beyond the usual ‘rabbinic’ rationale!) THIS year the confluence of Scripture and Societal Situation make the message seem not only poignant, but prescient.

In other words, it’s almost impossible to deny that He clearly has a Plan. And it’s about choosing life, and His redemption:

The 75th Anniversary of D-Day today shows just how far we have NOT really come…

This week, Mark takes a look at the “REAL battle”, between the God of the Bible, YHVH, and those who are trying so hard to replace Him with a fake ‘god’ created in their own image. Trouble is, it might not turn out so well.

So this week, Mark connects a series of themes, with a common warning. If you don’t understand how that ‘she-Beast’ is lying to you, how can you expect to be able to come OUT of her?

“Bogus ‘science’ and Propagandized Mobs”

This is a ‘come out of her’ topic that Mark hasn’t broached in probably far too long.

Given the threats, invasions, and attacks from within AND without, and what most of us know is not only coming, but at hand, how do we deal with things like the ever-increasing crackdowns on once-free speech and censorship of the web?

Can we still ‘get out the message?’

This week is “419” — the anniversary of the REAL “Patriot’s Day,” and the “Shot Heard Round the World,” at Lexington and Concord Green, which began the war for American Independence. And that date is an anniversary which, throughout history, has been a reminder of the conflict between Tyranny and Liberty.

So this is a story of “contradictions,” which can tell us so much if we are able to see and communicate them: it’s the incongruities, inconsistencies, absurdities, and even outright obscenities that can really help us know and show the Truth.

But they do tend to fall into “two camps,” things we can DO something directly about, including don’t participate, and those where the most fruitful option is prayer.

But sometimes some things we really need to be doing right now might even surprise us.

James Madison once said, “”I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the Rights of the people by the gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.”

And that’s increasingly beyond dispute.

But it’s the total – and deliberate – ignorance of so many mal-eduKatid AmeriKans today, of both forms of the Supreme Law, that host Mark Call focuses on this week.

Ultimately, all “God-given Rights” are, in one form or another, based on the concept of property…and Whose we really are.
