  • Mark Call – Parsha “Re’eh”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for the continued study of the set of several of the “most anti-paganism” and pro-Torah portions IN the Torah. As clear as the ‘run-up’ to this parsha has been, when it comes to how YHVH literally “hates” the worship of foreign, false, gods, this one pulls no punches. Chapter 13, in particular, and the description of a ‘false prophet’, and what should be done with such is the kind of thing which has, not surprisingly, disappeared from any dogma that it exposes.

And the latter part of the parsha is an outline of the major lies of the ‘whore church’, which turn out not to have been “down away with” at all.

The Erev Shabbat overview of the portion (Deuteronomy 11:26 – 16:17):

Sometimes the Sabbath Day “deeper examination” has a twist, too. Again we are reminded of the ‘snare,’ and the seduction of idolatry. Still, we will hear the question asked, “just what revelance does any discussion of someone trying to entice to follow after ‘foreign gods,’ especially “those which you yave not known,” have today? (The irony of just how pervasive they are, instead, may be lost on the questioners.)

Mark suggests the best clue to the dilemma is still found in the parallels between idolatry and adultery, but the key to understanding how to combat the problem lies in “joy” (actually, simkah, and the difference matters).

  • “Come out of her, My people” Show ~ Mark Call weekly

For several years now on Hebrew Nation Radio, host Mark Call has been outlining the “how” and “why” those with “eyes to see” and “ears to hear” need to “come out of her,” while there is still time.

This week, he lays out just SOME of the once-unbelievable reasons, from events up to and including those of “Biblical proportions” why the time to DO that, is NOW.

  • Mark Call – Parsha “Ekev”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a study of the set of several of the “most anti-paganism” and pro-Torah portions IN the Torah. It’s a theme that is repeated multiple times in Scripture, but perhaps nowhere else so clearly and unequivocally as in this parsha: When you come into the land, you shall not serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you. And when it comes to their idols, don’t even covet the gold and silver on them. Utterly detest them. Don’t even take an idol into your HOUSE, lest you be accursed like it!

The Erev Shabbat overview of the portion (Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25)

    https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/SSM-8-23-19-Ekev-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3

Mark begins the Sabbath Day “deeper examination” of the parsha this week a bit differently. The parsha begins with what ‘shall come to pass,’ but – by now – all of that HAS come to pass, the blessings and the things that shouldn’t have happened, but did, leading to an exile still in progress. So it’s time to start with some talk about “faith”, and what happened with a lack thereof.

The theme of a ‘snare’, if we forget YHVH and are instead seduced by idolatry permeates the parsha, of course. But there is an element of understanding that reveals just how far down that road we’ve gone as a society when we think about what the point of “debate” once was. To find Truth, and seek to make a case based on Truth. When that is clearly no longer the goal, then what’s the point of discussion? And that goes a long way toward explaining what has happened to “civil discourse” in post-Biblical AmeriKa, too.

Moses AGAIN warns those who would turn from obedience to the instruction of Yahuah of the consequences, and AGAIN says not to do what they did, and we, as a world even, are still doing: going after other, false, ‘gods’.

This teaching, ultimately, is all about “faith”. What does that really mean anyway?

And we see that when it comes to Authority. His, and those who have sought to replace Him.

One of the primary considerations as we not only begin to understand the importance of “coming out of her,” but the “HOW TO”, is the issue of trust.

Certainly the lesson of Scripture is “Trust in YHVH”.

But this week Mark looks at the problem we face today from a whole ‘nuther perspective.

  • Mark Call – Parsha “Vaetchanan”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

This week, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship embarks on a study of the single parsha in the Torah containing perhaps the premier collection of the ‘most fundamental texts’ in Scripture. And they are NOT limited to just the ‘Ten Debarim [‘Sayings’, ‘Commandments,’ ‘Words…’] and the Most Important single command in the Book, aka ‘the Shema’, but others that are now even more overlooked.

The Erev Shabbat overview of the portion (Deuteronomy3:23 – 7:11)

    https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/SSM-8-17-19-Vaetchanan-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3

Mark begins the Sabbath Day “deeper examination” of the parsha from the ‘inside out’, because the most well-known elements are in the middle of the portion, and also becauase they have largely been discounted now by a world not only gone “insane”, but downright demonic, once the parts that lead up to them were totally “done away with,” by those who failed to “hear and obey” as commanded.

Moses warns those who would turn from obedience to the instruction of Yahuah of the consequences, which included the exile we are STILL enduring. He warned as well about being coerced to serve other, false, ‘gods’. There is a vitally important promise in there, too, about the eventual time, during the ‘end times’, when we not just can, but WILL, “return to Him.”

But what might just resonate most with us, today, while we ‘wait on YHVH’ is the idea of just exactly what we are seeing built around us, and the consequences of that rebellion. A “World Without Trust”.

  • Mark Call – Parsha “Debarim”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a study of the first parsha in the last Book of the Torah, “Devarim”, aka Deuteronomy, and — at least once — the most-quoted reference when it comes to “Law” in the united States.

The parsha, and thus the Book, begins with a recap by Moses of a forty year journey through ‘the wilderness’ that could have been made in only 11 days, but wasn’t…and he reminds the ‘second generation’ of the sons of Israel in that mixed multitude why.

The Erev Shabbat overview of the portion (Deuteronomy 1:1 through 3:22)

    https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/SSM-8-9-19-Debarim-teaching-xx.mp3

Mark begins the Sabbath Day “deeper examination” of the parsha and a number of very-much-related Scriptures with a bit of characteristic “nerdiness” to set the stage: since both Scripture and history, and not to mention His physical universe and human nature, end up being cycles of repeating cycles, it’s important to ask not only where THIS story is, in context, but where WE are in a repeating cycle that at least ‘rhymes’.

Moses was addressing a group of people soon to enter, and hopefully conquer, the [promised] Land. Much later, as the haftorah reading from Isaiah 1 makes clear, they were ‘kicked out’, or sent into an exile that still persists. So, “where are we?” in that continuing cycle of fallen men repeating the same mistakes, but sometimes even more catastrophically?

  • “Come out of her, My people” Show ~ Mark Call weekly

NOTE: A bad link to last week’s show has been corrected!

The ‘gloves are off’ when it comes to the no-longer-hidden plan to replace what’s left of the constitutional republics with a totalitarian feudal dictatorship.

And while the Far Left pretends that Bolshvik Revolution version 2.0 will happen via the ‘ballot box’ — even if Big Tech has to silence the opposition and rig another election — the truth is that there are multiple other ways where it is ALREADY almost a ‘done deal.’

Join host Mark Call for a look at “Galloping Commmunism” and the OTHER ways it’s being done, and why the solution is already clear, from both Scripture and even the Constition.

  • Mark Call – Parsha “Pinchas”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a study of perhaps one of the most “problematic” portions in the Torah, “Pinchas” (Bemidbar/Numbers 25:10 through 3:1), because it describes the outright ‘killing-by-spear’ of two pagans, engaged in a pretty brazen act, not only right before Moshe, but the ‘whole congregation’ of Israel. And for that act, Pinchas is not tried for ‘murder,’ but given an ‘eternal covenant of peace’ by the Most High Himself.

This lesson is not only ‘timely’ – perhaps more now than ever before in our lifetimes – but incorporates one of those “jots and tiddles” that speaks literally VOLUMES to those with “eyes to see”, but doesn’t even get translated in the English renderings of the Bible. Truly, an example of what is worth “studying for ourselves” from His Word, as Written.
