Parsha "Shmini" (Leviticus chapters 9 through 11) appears to be an unusual combination. It begins on the 'eighth day,' with the climax of the consecration of the priests, Aaron and his sons, and only appears to end when "there came forth fire from before YHVH."

Those same words frame the tragedy of the death of his sons Nadab and Abihu when they offer "strange fire," which - clearly most importantly - He did NOT command.

Why, then, does He talk about food next?

The Erev Shabbat reading sets the stage:

And the confluence of those events set up the questions. What does 'strange fire' even mean? And why did it merit sudden death?

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship suggests that the story of Ezekiel chapters 8 and 9 offers some insight: What was it they "knew, or SHOULD have known?"

It is true that, "to whom much is given, much is expected." And in Ezekiel 9:6, YHVH does tell the destroying angel to "begin at My sanctuary."

But, wait - we don't have a temple, or even a mishkan, any more. No priests, either, to hold to a higher standard. And any issues about "ritual purity" and food don't fit any more, either.

Maybe that's another indicator. Especially now.

With the 'next bioweapon release' seemingly at-hand, not to mention the biggest economic meltdown in history, and an attempted nuclear escalation of mention WW 3, doesn't it seem far less insane to trust YHVH rather leaders who have demonstrated a desire to serve Death?

And since there are things on the horizon that we cannot control, doesn't it make sense to obey Him as best we can in the things we can?

Here is a High-Level Summary from both an Old and New Testament Perspective:

*There have been only nine red heifer sacrifices throughout biblical history.

*The Red Heifer had to be without spot or blemish (Numbers 19:1-10)

*The Red Heifer was burned outside of the camp.

*The likely place where the red heifer will be sacrificed is on the Mount of Olives.

*The ashes of the Red Heifer were mixed with water.

*The Red Heifer ashes were used to purify the priest for Temple Service

*The Priest must be purified with Red Heifer ashes mixed with water BEFORE the Temple service can begin with the Daily Tamid lamb offering.

*The Daily Sacrifice will be reinstated on the Temple Mount, as it is written in Daniel 9:27: Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

*Yeshua quoted this passage and confirmed that: “When you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel…then let all those who are in Judea flee.” Matthew 24:15-16

*For this prophesy to be fulfilled, the Daily Sacrifice cannot resume without the Red Heifer ashes. The priest must be purified by the Red Heifer ashes so he can perform the Daily Sacrifice.

*The Red Heifer Sacrifice is a shadow picture pointing us to Yeshua our Great High Priest.

*There have been no Red Heifer sacrifices since the destruction of the Holy Temple in 70 AD.

*Rabbis believe that when a Red Heifer Sacrifice happens again, it is a sign that the Temple will soon be restored and that the Messianic age is very near.

*In the end of days, the Third Temple will be restored. The anti-Christ will take a seat in the Temple and proclaim himself to be god (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8).

*When Yeshua returns, the abomination of desolation will be done away with and the anti-Christ will be taken out (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8).

We know that the Song of Moses is found in Deuteronomy, but where can we find the Song of the Lamb?  How about the New Song that can only be learned by the 144,000?  Are there clues in scripture as to what the New Song will be?  What might we learn ABOUT the singers of these songs with regard to their whereabouts (during the tribulation and wrath) from the songs they sing?  You might be surprised!  This is part 1 of a 2 part introductory series.  Then we plan to dig into the details of the New Song & 144,000 that sing it!  Visit www.HisWordHeals.com/blog for part 2 of this message and more messages like this one.  You can also sign up for email updates letting you know each time a new message is available.  Blessings in Y'shua Messiah!

As we watched the snow fall here in Montana, my thoughts were turned towards Psalms 147 and 148. David reminds us that our Heavenly Father is the One who controls all of creation, even the snow. In a wonderful YouTube video, Louie Giglio demonstrates how all of creation is praising our Heavenly Father 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdFnGumjANo&t=6s   As we walk out through the beauty of our Creator's wonderful work, let us remember to join all creation in the Song of Praise.

The teachers complete the study of Isaiah chapter 29, and this week that includes the warning from Yahushua in Mark chapter 7, "well did Isaiah prophesy of you..."

...because most of the 'sun-god-day' churches STILL just pay "lip service" to Him, but then "make the commandments of Elohim of no effect" by what they claim is 'law' - but ISN'T.
