On 9-11, the Federal Death Agency is at it again, and the traitor in the New Mexico governor's mansion shows the next step.

Rabbi Steve Berkson subtitles this teaching, “The Role and Effect of Leadership in Covenant Keeping.”

He starts by taking us to Deuteronomy 31 to show how that after the Covenant had been established the people did well with keeping it sometimes and not so well at other times. The role of the leadership and the way the people interacted with the leadership has a direct connection with the fledgling nation’s ability to uphold their part of the Creator’s Covenant.

Who was the “leadership” in the time of Mosheh (Moses)?

Who had the “burden” of physically bearing the Covenant? Could there be a deeper significance to this “burden”?

Moving from the book of Deuteronomy, Rabbi Steve Berkson shows us from the passage of Joshua 3:1-4 how important it is for us to “keep our distance.”

Parsha Nitzavim ["you are standing THIS Day..." from Deuteronomy 29:9 through chapter 30] contains what Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa contend is one of the most graphic and undeniable refutations of some of THE Biggest Lies in all xtianity...things that are NOT in the Real Book, but get taught in sun-god-day skool as if they actually were.

It also contains THE singular Two Word Summary of not only His Instruction, but how to "rightly divide the Word," which applies even if it even appears to the 'uneducated and untaught' as if there is some conflict.

The Erev Shabbat reading makes it clear:

The Sabbath midrash explores the depth of the Big Lie that most of us were taught - wrongly - in a church which first tried to claim "the Law" was "done away with," and then followed up with the caveat, that, well, 'NOBODY but jesus could possibly KEEP it anyway!'

Worse, is that both of them try to claim the Creator and Author of Scripture Himself is a liar for so clearly saying otherwise!

But ALL of that comes to a head in this parsha, where the lessons of this season's Fall Feasts combine with a 'greater Exodus,' still to come, to show WHY those lies are so devastating.

"Nitzavim: Debunking the Big Lie that's NOT in The Book - with His RIGHTEOUSNESS"

The combined two-part teaching is here:

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:7, Gal 2:15-21, John 14:6, 2 Cor 4:6-7, Matthew 13:45-46, Col 1:26-27, Ephesians 2:4-7, Col 3:3-4, 2 Cor 3:2-8, John 14:22-23

I am going to depart from the usual reading of scripture today and instead, I am going to share a topical teaching with you, which I have entitled:  Are You Dancing with Yeshua’s shadow?

Exploring the seven beautiful feasts of the Lord can be likened to exploring a gorgeous mountain range with 7 peaks (7 feasts). We in the Hebrew Roots world saw this beautiful mountain range, we put on our backpacks and off we went on a journey to explore this mountain range, the Feasts!

The Feasts of the LORD are FORESHADOWS of Redemption. They are SHADOW PICTURES pointing to us our redemption in Messiah Yeshua. But, in exploring this mountain range, have some of us lost our way? Have some of us slowly drifted away from Yeshua? I invite you to sit down, have a cup of coffee, and reflect on these questions with me. I invite your comments and feedback in the comment box below or you can email me at:

Psalm 42 is one of the better-known psalms that cries out - "As the Deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after You!" David is reminding us of the only source of living water that can satisfy the thirst our soul and spirit. There are many things and sources that try to offer us the satisfaction that the living water gives us, but they all fall short. No other source can provide the life-giving water that our Heavenly Father supplies. Do you "thirst" for that "Living Water" today? There is only one place to get it - at the foot of the cross of our Messiah Yashua!

Steve Rees has been producing Harp Music from the Psalms of David for the past 20 years. He has discovered a connection between the Hebrew text of the Psalms and music notes that develop into chord progressions that form the basis for musical compositions that have been appreciated by thousands of followers. We invite you to join the many lives that have been positively affected by this wonderful music.

The Greek root names sake gives away its evolution, stemming from a similar linage as that of the dulcimer.  However this gives rise to not only the guitar, but also the modern stringed instruments for orchestration.  After scriptural citation of its use we will hear an excerpt about an odd instrument called the Theorbo.
