Love and Torah – what’s love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor.
As he begins this lesson, Rabbi Steve Berkson explains that in the Christian world, it is just love and no Torah, and then asks the question, “What does that look like?” He explains that your expression of love toward the Creator is submission, as Messiah Yeshua said, “If you love me, keep my commands.”
What does the movie Charlie & the Chocolate Factory have to do with the Kingdom of Elohim?
Rabbi Berkson then turns to Psalm 119 to show us the heart of King David and what he wrote about his love for the Torah of Yahweh. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.

On today’s show, Episode 181, this is the SECOND PART of a discussion that I had with Professional Mechanical Engineer Andrew Hoy about the biblical Hebrew Ohel Mo’ed – the tabernacle or the tent of Elohim (“God”) as described in the Bible in Exodus Chapters 26 and 27. As a professional mechanical engineer and the son of a professor of mechanical engineering, Andrew Hoy approached the subject of the tabernacle structure with exacting attention to detail, drawing on his knowledge of Hebrew, textual biblical evidence, and the mathematical constant referred to as 3.14, commonly known as “pi.” What Andrew discovered in the Exodus Hebrew texts challenged him to reconsider the traditional tabernacle model and to begin accepting the textual biblical evidence showing that the Israelite Tent or Tabernacle was a circular structure with a dome-shaped design. Join me for the second part of our discussion about what Andrew discovered about the biblical tabernacle and why the information is so vital to our Hebraic and Messianic Torah Walk of Faith.

Part 3 is a followup to parts 1 and 2 since ‘nothing happened yet’. Plus some interesting things to note about the Septuagint version of Daniel 9:25-27. Is the dire straits SOME YEAR a possible time to watch for events surrounding the rebuilding of Jerusalem to begin especially since the dire straits always follow the 2nd counting of the Omer. In today’s followup we just look at interesting possibilities but it is always a great time to be ‘watching’ for the fulfillment of biblical prophecies so that we are not ‘caught unawares’.
Did you know that there are EXACTLY 70 WEEKS from the 7th day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread following the second Passover this year 2025 to Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement 2026? Additionally if you count the 7 Sabbaths of the Omer following the Feast of First Fruits for the Second Passover this year and then you count an additional 62 Sabbaths (as in Daniel 9:25 says 7 weeks or 7 sevens i.e. 7 Sabbaths & 62 weeks, sevens or Sabbaths that’s 69 Sabbaths from the Feast of First Fruits for the second Passover this year) you come to Yom Teruah or Feast of Trumpets 2026 which is ON THE 69TH Sabbath after the Feast of First Fruits!
All throughout scripture prophecy most times has a long plan and then a short plan. The long plan is always first and the fulfillment may be in the distant future, and you don’t know the day or the hour that it will be fulfilled. Then the short plan is very often revealed, including the date of its coming fulfillment once you get really close to its time. So, there can be two timelines for one prophecy or set of prophecies, a long plan and a short plan, a far plan and a near plan.
Consider Noah who began building his boat 120 years before the flood came. He knew it was going to come, he just didn’t know when that was the long plan, but then the short plan was revealed to him seven days before the flood came. As the time of fulfillment neared, he was told exactly what day it would start to rain.
Same thing with the exodus from Egypt. The long plan was revealed to Abraham, Isaac, and then Jacob. As they got closer to going to Egypt, the plans became more distinct. Abraham saw it afar off, and Jacob actually went to Egypt. But still, it was a long plan… the rest of 400 years before they would know exactly when the exodus was coming. Then, when Moses came back from the desert, he revealed the short plan and they knew exactly when they were going to leave, the night of Passover. Same thing with Daniel 9, all of Daniel’s visions actually, but Daniel 9:24-27 is what we’re specifically dealing with in part 1 of this message regarding verse 24’s long plan of 3500 years and in part 2 verses 25’s and 27’s short plan of 70 actual weeks of days.
This week’s annual cycle Torah reading is parsha “Pinchas,” Numbers 30:2 through chapter 32) and – in part at least – it wraps up one of the mysteries in the Torah, how can a people so blessed of YHVH fall so quickly into idolatry, and beset by ‘plague?’
But there is far more, and the issue of “vows” literally envelops the narrative.
As it still does today.
The Erev Shabbat reading:
The Sabbath Day midrash is at attempt to connect a collection of dots that range from broken vows and lying prophets to bioweaponry and ELE asteroid impacts.
The prophet Bilaam really wanted to curse the mixed multitude of Israel, but was explicitly forbidden to do so, on pain of death – as he learned “the hard way.” Only “the word that Elohim puts in my mouth, that I shall speak.” And yet, like so many ancient popes and modern traitors in politics, he thought he was smarter than God Himself, and could find a “workaround.” It cost him.
Today we don’t have a Moses to “hang ’em high,” or a Pinchas to literally run them through, ‘en flagrante delecto,’ with a spear.
Which only makes the potential consequences all the more deadly. And imminent.
The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Mark Call takes a look at one what may be one of the most important weeks of real news the nation’s history, ending Saturday, 26 July, 2025.
It is now not only obvious, but eminently provable that Obama and the Deep State “intel community” committed treason. The only remaining question is whether or not the concept of “justice,” and the Rule of Law, is even a factor in AmeriKa-with-a-K.
But the related question that host Mark Call asks today is, do we understand why “good faith” once mattered? When people not only violate their oaths before God, but pat themselves on the back for doing so, and then are rewarded for their treachery – the Rule of Law is dead.
So what then happens…
News and commentary for Wednesday, 23 July, 2025.
And this may in fact be one of the most important news shows I’ve ever done, and certainly one of the most important events – if it includes the necessary follow-through – in American history:
For the first time ever, a sitting US President, with the assurance of ample documentation, rightfully accused a former president of Treason.
And there are a LOT of “dots to connect.”
