The war rhetoric between Israel and Iran escalated this week at the Munich Security Conference.

Iran issued a strong warning to Israel on Monday in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s fiery speech at last weekend’s Munich Security Conference. This annual event is likely to be remembered more for saber-rattling and ultimatums, and the lack of discernible progress on resolving lingering conflicts or brewing crises around the world.

Netanyahu spoke about Iran’s drone invasion the week before and said, “Israel will not allow Iran’s regime to put a noose of terror around our neck. We will act without hesitation to defend ourselves, and we will act, if necessary, not just against Iran’s proxies that are attacking us, but against Iran itself.”

Netanyahu also accused Iran of seeking to dominate the region with aggression and terror.

Iran was not happy with Netanyahu and threatened his life when they bomb Tel Aviv and raze it to the ground. Tehran said that if Israel takes any more military actions against Iran, Tel Aviv will be bombed.

The United States weighed in on the tension between Israel and Iran. This is what I have been predicting would happen. The United States will intervene between Israel and Iran. As you may have heard me say last year, I believe Ezekiel 38 should be interpreted differently than the traditional way. I believe Ezekiel 38:5 does not say Persia will be allied with Gog from verse 4, but that Persia will move into Israel because Gog is in Israel – which it is now since last year’s U.S. military base opened in the Negev Desert – and Gog has intervened in the war between Israel and Iran.

Ezekiel 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 
Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet…

I believe the way this should be understood is that because Gog, the U.S., is in Israel as both an ally and military power, that it what will cause Persia, Iran, to enter Israel. Gog’s, the U.S. military presence in Israel is the primary cause, according to Ezekiel for Iran to attack Israel. The reason for this is clear. It is Gog’s punishment by YHVH from over 2700 years ago for escaping his punishment to go into captivity with the rest of the ten tribes, including his own tribe, Reuben. Delayed punishment is always worse.

So, Ezekiel 38:4 and 5 are a progression of events, not the same event. Gog enters Israel first. Gog already has entered Israel as a defender, a guard, just as Ezekiel 38:7 instructed him, the U.S., to do. See The Jerusalem Report for July 7, 2017. The next event will be Persia and allies coming into Israel as weaponized as Gog.

The U.S. is already an enemy of Iran, even with the advent of Obama’s nuclear deal.

RUSSIA AND IRAN’S $2.5 BILLION DEAL

Russia and Iran signed a $2.5 billion deal on Monday between Iran’s Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) and Transmashholding, Russia’s largest rail equipment supplier. The venture will be 80% owned by Russia, but Russia will provide 100% of the funding.

I want a deal like that!

Iran is currently amid an infrastructure building bonanza after emerging from decades of western sanctions that left much of its transportation infrastructure in ruins. The country has embarked upon a near complete rebuild of its current highway and rail networks and will add 15,000 kilometers of new rail lines in the next five years. This 5-year rapid expansion will require close to 50,000 new rail wagons.

Reinvigorating the transport sector is a key part of the Persian nation’s vision to leverage its geographic position in the Middle East to become the hub of trans-Eurasian trade which will plug China into the 3-way transportation wheel through China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Russia’s continued economic activity in the Caucuses Mountains.

Iran is a core partner with Russia and India in the newly emerging North-South Transport Corridor of the Caucuses which will create a multimodal trade route. This new trade route will cut the lead time between cities on the west coast of India and St. Petersburg in half, and India has also worked out its territorial squabbles with Russia over the Caspian Sea.

This agreement to produce rolling stock for Iran’s new railways is the latest in a string of deals that show Tehran and Moscow’s growing partnership. Setting aside a few decades-long squabbles, Iran and Russia have recently been establishing economic and strategic partnerships on many fronts, including energy, infrastructure development, and military aid — along with being on the same side of the Syria crisis. ISRAEL

The Netanyahu government caved in to combined Palestinian and Israeli Arab pressure on its positions regarding Temple Mount and its responses to acts of terror. By Thursday morning, July 27, all the security measures, metal detectors, cameras and fences, had been removed from Temple Mount, and the bodies of the three Israeli Arabs who murdered two Israeli police officers were handed over to their families in their home town of Umm al Fahm in the Israeli Arab Triangle.

In the Old City of Jerusalem, joyous Palestinians handed out candy and fired off firecrackers. Their cars hooted to celebrate their victory over the Jews.

In Umm Al Fahm, thousands attended a funeral march early Thursday under flying Palestinian flags to hail the three terrorists who set off the Temple Mount crisis by gunning down Temple Mount police guards.

The Palestinians’ clerical leaders and the Waqf did not order Muslim worshippers to end their boycott of Aqsa even after Israel’s capitulation. Instead, they gathered for prayers in the streets. The Palestinian Authority, the Tanzim militia and Hamas all called for an escalated showdown with Israel on Friday, but Jordan’s King Abdullah asked President Abbas to acquiesce to Israel’s backing off of Temple Mount. Abbas announced the return to prayer.

As DEBKAfile noted Wednesday, “The Israeli government has set its feet on a dangerously slippery slope by surrendering to Palestinian and Israeli Arab extremists. The insatiable demands for more capitulation will not stop at this point.”

According to the Debka report, “Binyamin Netanyahu’s government is being forced back step by step on the Temple Mount standoff by a three-line siege imposed by the Palestinians, Sunni Arab governments, including Jordan, and public opinion at home.

The security cabinet can’t be faulted for approving its first rational steps for securing the worshippers and visitors frequenting Temple Mount, after three Israeli Arab gunmen desecrated the shrine on July 14 by shooting dead two Israeli police officers on guard at Lion’s Gate.

Metal detectors at the gates provided a quick fix for reopening the shrines the next day.

Where the ministers went wrong was in failing to go after the perpetrators of the murders committed at one of the most sensitive world shrines. The killers belonged to the lawless Jabarin clan that rules the Israeli Arab town of Umm al Fahm. The ministers did not treat this clan as central to the crime, out of concern for the delicate relations with Israel’s Arab minority. Instead, Temple Mount, the lightening rod of Israel’s relations with the entire Muslim and Arab world, was treated as the core issue.

The Jabarins felt safe enough to carry on breaking Israel’s laws. On Tuesday, July 25, a member was caught smuggling a truckload of illegal Palestinian workers from the Palestinian town of Jenin across into Israel. It was obvious that something is badly amiss in national homeland security policies.

In another example, the government finally, a year late,
