The writer of Hebrews exhorts the believers in AD 65 to await the promise with faith and patience. But what is this promise? Brad explains from Scripture that this promise is the promise of the new earth and the heavenly new Jerusalem descending out of heaven to the new earth. The new Jerusalem is the city of grace upon the new earth - the city of the new covenant/testament of grace. Currently, in heaven, thousands upon thousands of angels assemble to together with believers in joyful celebration of the new covenant/testament.
