George struggled so much with sin that it got to the point where he wondered if God was fed up with him. Was this the end for George? Was God so angry and frustrated that He was through with George? These were his concerns.

So, can you out-sin the grace of God? Will the blood of Jesus run out on you? And if not, then what’s the motivation for upright living anyway?

While most Christian teaching mentions the grace of God, few go as far as we do at The Grace Message in bragging on God’s grace and the finished work of Christ.

But how do we know we’re right about God’s grace and that a grace-centered perspective is the most accurate understanding of the Gospel? Is it the grace of God, plus nothing else added in? Or is it grace plus something we need to earn or achieve?

As I share in this short episode, it all comes down to what you believe about the quality of Christ’s work. Check it out and decide for yourself if your forgiveness, freedom from the Law, and new identity are still a work in process or fully accomplished.

The apostle Paul experienced physical “weakness” of some kind, because of what he called a “thorn in the flesh.” There are many theories about this thorn:

• Was Paul possessed by a demon?
• Was it an annoying person in Paul’s life?
• Was it a physical infirmity Paul suffered?
• Was it simply persecution in general?

We can’t know for certain exactly what type of suffering Paul went through in regard to this thorn, but we can rule out demon possession. In this short video clip, I explain why and – just for fun – make one guess at Paul’s thorn. No matter what you might believe about the thorn, the lesson to be learned here is one of dependency on Christ in the midst of weakness. That’s the big takeaway, and I hope this short video is an encouraging reminder of how protected you are (and how equipped you are for any trial) in Jesus Christ.

Cedric is the son of a Pentecostal minister. He grew up praying the Lord’s Prayer in church. But he noticed the prayer says “Forgive us our sins for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.” Jesus even goes on to say, “If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

This worried Cedric. He wondered whether or not he was fully forgiven or if he needed to recite the prayer every night before bed to get more forgiven. Even more, he wondered if he could lose his salvation.
