The great hall of faith! Throughout Hebrews, the author has been urging his readers to recognize that “the just shall live by faith.” It has always been this way—from the very first men and forefathers of the faith. He wants them to understand that it will be no different for them: walking with God only comes by faith.
Faith means being convinced of a reality you cannot yet see, and then directing your steps in light of that truth. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
