It was August 15, 1945 when it was announced that Imperial Japan was surrendering to end WW II. They did not formally sign the surrender until Sept 2, 1945, but as you can imagine Aug. 15th was a very significant day. Gene Krupa's Orchestra performs "Stompin' at the Savoy", Anita O'Day sings "I'd Do It All Over Again." The Orchestra featuring tenor saxophonist, Charlie Ventura, plays "These Foolish Things Remind Me of You."
